The actor hasn’t held back in his criticism of California’s political leaders, even going as far as saying some of them “should be in prison.”

He recently shared his grief during an interview with CNN’s Pamela Brown, where he talked about how he and his wife were only able to leave their home with the clothes on their backs.

James Woods also revealed that they had only recently moved into the home after staying away for a while due to renovations they were making on the house.

In multiple other posts, Woods has slammed the inadequacies of the politicians who he claimed cut the budget that would have purchased necessary equipment to help quell the wildfires.

The furious actor has name-dropped California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, and Los Angeles’ mayor, Karen Bass.

In one of his many posts since the fires started, he took shots at Democrats, writing: “‘Little to none.’ When asked how many fire hydrants they were getting full water from, this was the fire captain’s answer. ‘Little to none.’ And the building burned. That should be the new hashtag of Democrat failure all over California.”

He Blasted Individuals Bringing Up ‘Climate Change’ Amid The Wildfires

Woods also took aim at netizens on X (formerly Twitter), who shared that climate change caused the wildfires.

The actor specifically called out an individual who said it was “ironic” that Woods, who appears to be a climate change denier, would lose his home to wildfires.

“The irony of James Woods, known for his skepticism about climate change, losing his home to the very wildfires linked to climate change impacts in California is striking,” the X user said.

Woods swiftly fired back at the Twitter troll, saying, “This fire is not from ‘climate change,’ you ignorant a-shole. It’s because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass.”

He continued, “One doesn’t understand the first thing about fire management, and the other can’t fill the water reservoirs.”

The Actor Said The Views Of His Home Were ‘Paradise’

During a chat with CNN’s Pamela Brown, Woods lamented the loss of his “beautiful little house,” which got engulfed in the wildfires ravaging the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles.

The “Vampires” actor had only recently returned to his home with his wife, Sarah Miller, after months of being away due to the COVID-19 pandemic and renovations they had done.

“We finally had it done, and we were swimming every day, and my blood pressure was going down,” Woods reflected emotionally on the memories he made in the home, per Entertainment Weekly.

He added, “If you ever saw the views from that house before this fire, they were just… It was paradise. And our neighbors, we knew them all. One day, you’re swimming in the pool, and the next day, it’s all gone.”

James Woods Broke Down In Tears As He Revealed He Was Unable To Save His Belongings

In the conversation, Woods also revealed that due to the quick spread of the wildfires, he and his wife could only evacuate with “the clothes on our backs.”

He also revealed that “there was so much chaos” in that moment and that the fires burnt, “like an inferno.”

“Every house was on fire around us,” Woods added, recounting his evacuation from his home.

As the conversation continued, Woods became visibly overwhelmed several times and had to wipe tears from his eyes.

“I thought I would be stronger than this,” Woods told Brown in one of those moments, to which she replied, “Strength is not measured by whether you hold in crying or not.”

The journalist went on to commend the actor for helping his neighbors and “shining a light on the great, amazing work of all those firefighters and emergency crews.”

Other Celebrities Have Lost Their Homes In The Wildfires

Apart from Woods, several other celebrities have also lost their homes to the wildfires.

Anthony Hopkins lost his $6 million home, while Adam Brody and Leighton Meester lost their $7 million mansion, where they lived with their two young daughters.

Similarly, actress Anna Faris’ $5 million eco-friendly home was completely destroyed by the blaze, as was the home of reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.

According to reports, over 1,000 structures have been destroyed since the wildfires began, while more than 30,000 residents have been forced to evacuate.

The wildfires have also led to the Governor of California declaring a state of emergency.
