James Woods has revealed that his Pacific Palisades home has miraculously survived the devastating Los Angeles fires, despite his initial belief that it had been destroyed.

The veteran actor couldn’t contain his joy and took to X to announce that a “miracle has happened,” days after he broke down in an interview because he had previously believed that “it’s all gone.”

James Woods slammed the Los Angeles Fire Department chief for seemingly focusing on DEI instead of “filling the reservoirs” to mitigate the damaging degree of the inferno.

James Woods Reveals His Home ‘Is Still Standing’

A miracle has happened. We managed to get to our property and our home, that we were told is gone forever, is still standing. In this hellish landscape “standing” is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us. The view from our deck area: pic.twitter.com/JZU2kTJC52

Woods shared his palpable relief on his X account after discovering that the wildfires ravaging California had not destroyed his Pacific Palisades home.

In the video posted to the social media platform, the “Once Upon A Time In America” actor stood on a hillside and panned his camera to capture the views below, showing that the fires completely burned most homes and structures, including a school.

He then panned the camera to the backyard to show a mostly intact property but had others using buckets of water to put out small flames around the property.

The actor could be heard explaining, “Francis, whose father we saved, is now putting out fires now on our hillside.”

“A miracle has happened,” he wrote in the caption. “We managed to get to our property and our home, that we were told is gone forever, is still standing. In this hellish landscape, ‘standing’ is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us.”

The Actor Thought His House Had Burned Down

It comes just 2 days after the 77-year-old actor broke down in an interview with CNN as he recounted evacuating his home amid the ravaging inferno.

Woods got emotional as he recounted how his wife’s 8-year-old niece offered to help rebuild their property, which they initially thought was completely burned down in the fire.

He said the little girl “came out with her little piggy bank for us to rebuild our house.”

Visibly moved to tears, he tried to comport himself and said, “I’m sorry, it’s just one day you’re in the pool, and the next, it’s all gone.”

“I’m sorry, I thought I was stronger than this…” he added, per the Daily Mail.

Woods had previously shared a video of the view from his home and wrote on X, “I took this last night from our beautiful little home in the Palisades. Now, all the fire alarms are going off at once remotely. It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say.”

James Woods Calls Out L.A. Fire Department Chief

The “Vampires” actor slammed the Los Angeles Fire Department chief for focusing on DEI and insisted on putting measures in place to forestall such an apocalyptic fire that’s already threatening to be the most damaging in the history of the state.

According to the Daily Mail, Woods praised the heroics of “the people” of LAFD but slammed the leadership of Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, who is openly a lesbian, citing a portion of her bio that highlights her “highest priority” as being devoted to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or DEI.

Crowley’s bio says, among other things, that “creating, supporting, and promoting a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and equity while striving to meet and exceed the expectations of the communities are Chief Crowley’s priorities.”

“Our new fire chief… she took over, and she put on her bio that her priority, ‘my highest priority,’ is inclusion, diversity, and equity… and somebody forgot to fill all the reservoirs, I guess, with water,” the actor said.

Woods cited an instance when a firetruck pulled up to his home but couldn’t pump water because the tank was empty.

“When you are the fire chief, this isn’t a social justice exercise that you are in charge of,” he said. “This is [about] you getting water to areas that need water because there are fires and hundred-mile-an-hour winds burning houses to the ground.”

James Woods Called For Politicians To Be Put In Prison Over The Wildfires

In one of his many posts on X, Woods spoke about how challenging it was for the firefighters to contain the inferno due to a lack of water and equipment while criticizing California’s political leaders.

“The firefighters risking their lives to saves our homes deserve the highest praise and gratitude,” Woods wrote. “The politicians who deprived them of the means to do their job, and literally left them using purses to quell the conflagration should be in prison.”

In multiple other posts, the actor has slammed the inadequacies of the politicians who he claimed cut the budget that would have purchased necessary equipment to help quell the wildfires.

The furious actor has name-dropped California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, and Los Angeles’ mayor, Karen Bass.

According to NBC News, the wildfires have wreaked unimaginable havoc in the southern part of the City of Angels, consuming over 20,000 acres of land.

The disaster, which began earlier this week on Tuesday, has reportedly left 11 persons dead, with more than 200,000 evacuated as efforts are being mounted to contain its spread.

More than 12,000 structures, including homes and businesses, have been burned down as dry conditions and powerful winds served as fuel for the blazing inferno.

Some celebrities have been affected by the disaster, having their beautiful multi-million dollar Mansion burned down.

The homes of Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Tina Knowles, John Goodman, Candy Spelling, Milo Ventimiglia, and Miles Teller were among those destroyed.
