Spencer Pratt is one proud husband.
The former Hills star sobbed tears of gratitude in a TikTok video shared over the weekend as his wife Heidi Montag’s 2010 album, Superficial, reached No. 1 on iTunes.
The couple, who lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires last week, have been encouraging fans to stream and download the album, with stars including Paris Hilton and Emily Ratajkowski supporting the effort.
By Sunday, January 12, Montag’s album was No. 1 on the iTunes U.S. album chart, and the titular song was also ahead of “APT.” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars on the iTunes U.S. singles chart.
“We spent all of our money on this album,” Pratt, 41, said in an emotional TikTok video, explaining that he and Montag, 38, hired top writers and producers to work on the record, which only sold 1,000 copies in its first week on sale back in January 2010.
“Every dollar we made from The Hills, we put into this album,” Pratt continued. “For it to finally get No. 1 in America, 15 years after… Do you know how many times we’ve cried and how much regret we’ve had about spending all of our money and investing it and believing in Heidi’s music?”

Pratt then became overwhelmed with emotion as he sobbed on camera over his wife’s achievement.
On Saturday, January 11, Montag shared her gratitude to her fans for getting her music to No. 1.
“Thank you so much to everyone. No. 1 on iTunes chart, oh my gosh,” Montag shared via an Instagram Stories video. “Thank you for the overwhelming love and support of my music and really rallying behind us in this devastating time and making it such a blessing.”
Montag and Pratt, who share sons Gunner, 6, and Ryker, 13 months, shared news on Tuesday, January 7, that their home burned down in the wildfires decimating Los Angeles. Since then, the couple have continued to post updates and plead with fans to support them financially amid their devastating loss.
“Thank you for helping support us, helping build us back up, helping to encourage us, give us that hope and faith and excitement in such a dark, dark time,” Montag continued in her video post. “No. 1, ahhh! Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it. And it’s the 15th anniversary of Superficial. So, the timing is just crazy. It’s so crazy, thank you…”
In a video shared by Montag via TikTok on Thursday, January 9, the couple revealed the few items that remained of their house after the fire, all contained in a single plastic bag.
“The Hummingbird pot — with some nectar cooked into it,” Pratt says in the video, along with “one [rubber] snake from the backyard, one crystal from the backyard, [another] crystal from the backyard, Ryker’s shovel from the backyard and broken pieces.”
