Above & Beyond have announced the launch of Anjunachill, a label dedicated to the atmospheric sounds of ambient and downtempo music.

As their Anjuna family celebrates its 25th anniversary, Above & Beyond are turning a new page in their storied legacy. Anjunachill, formerly known as Reflections, has been unveiled as the third cornerstone of their iconic label trio, joining Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep in carrying the torch.

This evolution amplifies Anjuna’s commitment to emotive, melodic music across genres and tempos, now offering a sanctuary for tranquil and meditative sounds.

“Ambient music has been a part of Anjuna and Above & Beyond since the beginning, starting with our first album Tri-State. Including ambient tracks on our albums has always felt right to us,” the group said in a statement. “Music can be comforting and healing, especially living in this hectic world. It’s music that grounds us and helps us find peace. Looking back over 25 years, it’s incredible to see how many timeless pieces have emerged from our labels and how they still have that same feeling.”

The roots of Anjunachill trace back to Above & Beyond’s transformative 2014 Robot Heart performance at Burning Man, where a sunset yoga set inspired their Flow State project. The spark eventually led to 2020’s Reflections Vol. 1 EP under the Anjunadeep umbrella, forming the groundwork for Anjunachill.

The label launches today by virtue of Above & Beyond’s breathtaking new single, “Shall We Begin.” A mesmerizing blend of delicate piano chords, ethereal pads and tender percussive whispers, the track emerges like a sunrise breaking over a still horizon. Each note resonates with the emotional clarity that harkens back to the trio’s Flow State era, bringing listeners into a serene embrace of introspection.

The track had already captured the hearts of thousands prior to its release, serving as the opening theme for Above & Beyond’s 500th Anjunadeep Edition mix and the soundtrack to their Anjuna 25 teaser at ABGT600 in Mexico City.
