Justin Baldoni Claims Taylor Swift Pressured Him To Accept Blake Lively’s Rewrite
Baldoni has shed more light on what allegedly happened behind the scenes before he could bring Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel “It Ends With Us” to life on the big screen.
In a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist, Baldoni alleges that the “Deadpool” actor and Taylor Swift pressured him into accepting one of Lively’s rewrites for the film.
Baldoni shared that when the movie hit the pre-production phase, Lively allegedly asked to “take a pass” on the film’s rooftop scene, where her character Lily Bloom meets Baldoni’s Ryle Kincaid for the first time.
According to People Magazine, the actor noted that he was “reluctant” to let her “rewrite this key scene,” per the complaint, but “agreed to take a look at what she put together.”

Baldoni shared that Lively “dramatically” changed the script from its original form. After his “exceedingly mild resistance,” she “went silent for multiple days” and later said in an alleged text message that his reaction to her rewrite “didn’t feel great for me” or to Reynolds and a person Baldoni characterizes as “another megacelebrity friend.”
According to the news outlet, a text message he included in the filing reveals that Swift was the “influential and wealthy” celebrity friend Baldoni referred to.

Blake Lively Likened Herself To ‘Khaleesi’ And Called Taylor Swift And Ryan Reynolds Her ‘Dragons’
Elsewhere in the 179-page complaint, Baldoni claims that Lively was seemingly unmoved when he reached out to her to make her understand that her A-list friends pressured him.
Baldoni notes that he was “summoned” to Reynolds and Lively’s New York City penthouse, where Swift arrived and started “praising Lively’s script. Baldoni understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Lively’s direction for the script.”
He claimed to have later texted the “Gossip Girl” alum that he liked her changes and that he would have felt that way without “Ryan and Taylor” there.
However, Lively allegedly replied to his message by comparing herself to the “Game of Thrones” character Khaleesi and saying that Reynolds and Swift are her two “dragons.”‘

More On Blake Lively’s Alleged ‘Dragon’ Analogy
Lively seemingly had much to say about having dragons fighting for her. The alleged texts showed her deeply comparing herself to the fictional “GOT” character and telling Baldoni how her “dragons,” Swift and Reynolds, protect her.
She told Baldoni, “If you ever get around to watching ‘Game of Thrones,’ you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”
“They are embarrassingly effusive,” she added in the alleged texts, calling herself the “luckiest motherf-cker on the planet” to have them as her supporters and “most trusted partners.”
She added, “I think they wanted you and me to see how they felt about [the rewrites] because they’ve been by my side for far too many experiences where I’ve been overlooked.

Justin Baldoni Accused Ryan Reynolds Of Mocking Him In ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
Before filing his $400 million lawsuit, the 40-year-old actor served papers to Marvel president Kevin Feige, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and director Tim Mille concerning his client’s “anticipated claims” against Reynolds, Lively, and other unnamed people.
The letter demanded that the studio executives keep “any and all documents relating to the development of the Nicepool character” and “communications relating to the development, writing, and filming of storylines and scenes featuring Nicepool.”
In a January 7 appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman discussed the Nicepool character, alleging that Reynolds used it to mock his client.
“What Ryan Reynolds has seemingly done is use his power and influence … on Deadpool and to make fun of Justin Baldoni,” Freedman said, per the Daily Mail.

Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Says Blake Lively Will Regret Her Lawsuit
Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, released a statement after his $400 million lawsuit, claiming that Lively will not win the court battle and will “regret” suing his client.
Freedman said, “This lawsuit is a legal action based on an overwhelming amount of untampered evidence detailing Blake Lively and her team’s duplicitous attempt to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies by disseminating grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and doctored information to the media.”
The lawyer continued, “It is clear based on our own all out willingness to provide all complete text messages, emails, video footage and other documentary evidence that was shared between the parties in real time, that this is a battle she will not win and will certainly regret.”
