Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox has confirmed that Season 2 of the series will star production before Season 1 premieres. The news came from Cox himself during a recent Fan Expo appearance.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ this March after a number of setbacks, revamping, and production delays.

Cox was also asked about if fans can expect to see him play the character for years to come, and it’s something that he’d be happy to do.

He said: “They’re getting ready to release a comic that takes place where Matt Murdock is in his 60s, so I was like, ‘Oh, okay, great, so we got some time.'”

Whie there has been some talk of plans for a third season, the studio is probably going to wait to see how the first batch of episodes do before giving they greenlight another season.

In Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, “Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”

The series sees Matt Murdock/Daredevil, with Elden Henson back as Froggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

Producer Brad Winderbaum previously teased some of the action in the series, saying: “I’ll tell you, some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming in Daredevil: Born Again, which isn’t a horror show, but really it packs a lot of power and there’s a lot of visceral action, to say the least.”

He went on to tease how things have changed, saying: “These characters have matured, the universe is different than it was. Things have changed, society’s changed. Matt and Wilson have changed.

“And their characters are gonna collide in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try to murder each other. There’s a whole game of politics at play.”

The series also stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk.

The cast also includes Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Jeremy Earl, and more.

Daredevil: Born Again is being developed by directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who worked on both Moon Knight and Loki.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to arrive on Disney+ on March 4th, 2025.
