The creator of Silo recently gave an update about the filming of Seasons 3 and 4 of the hit Apple TV+ series and their potential release date. Silo is a science fiction thriller series created by Graham Yost and is inspired by author Hugh Howey’s books. It debuted on streaming platform, Apple TV+ in May 2023. The popular show features stars like Tim Robbins, Rebecca Ferguson, Harriet Walter, rapper Common, and more.

Silo creator says Season 3 is ‘already filming’

Graham Yost recently sat down to have a chat about the sophomore season.

In the conversation with The Wrap, the show’s creator expressed his thoughts on the final episode of Silo Season 2, Episode 10, titled “Into the Fire.” Apart from this, he also gave updates on the production of Seasons 3 and 4. As per the outlet, Silo was renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 in December 2024 by Apple TV+.

When the interviewer asked Yost about Season 3’s filming update, he said, “We’re already filming.” While the interviewer was amazed by the third season already being midway through filming, Yost further added, “I know, I know. We’ve all had to play cute. We trust in Apple, and they have their way of doing things, and I understand that.”

In addition, Yost revealed that the writing of Silo Season 4 has also been finished. It will likely be shot after a three-month post-production break after Season 3 wraps up filming.

The release date of Silo Season 3 is expected to fall around late 2025 or early 2026, as per the speculations presented in a report by The Direct. The filming of Season 2 took over 5 months and was available for streaming in around 8 to 12 months. Based on this pattern, the report suggests that Season 3’s filming has already commenced. Thus, it may also take a similar time window for this installment to arrive on Apple TV+.
