Here’s a great episode from Tested, which sees Adam Savage showing off a prop replica of the laser cannon wielded by Kaneda in the anime classic Akira.
It’s pretty awesome to see this laser cannon brought to life and we get to see what it would look like in the real world.
The rifle is used against Tetsuo as he attempts to cross a bridge connecting Neo-Tokyo to Old Tokyo, and the Olympic construction site.
The video came with the following note:
