I was recently watching an old interview with Tony Scott and Denzel Washington for Man on Fire on YouTube. In the comment section, someone mentioned that they felt Tony and Denzel were cinematic soulmates, that no one could direct Denzel in an action thriller like Tony Scott, and the two just understood each other.
