Katy Perry received mixed feedback as she snapped a racy selfie last year. Posting to her Instagram in a skimpy, very flimsy outfit, the singer showed off her curves in a barely-there top and short skirt while in snakeskin boots, and she didn’t receive much love. Snapping her OOTD before heading out in New York City in September 2024, Katy reminded her mass fanbase of her weight loss, but fans in the comments were more about the outfit trashing than discussing Katy’s slimmer figure. The image, reposted to a fan account, even saw one user call the look too “skimpy.”

Rocking tight fabrics that highlighted her curves, the songstress crossed her legs from an indoor space, flashing her slim legs in a teeny, thigh-skimming miniskirt in cream. Splashing out over $600 on her vest top and over $800 on her skirt, Katy kept her look high-end, but she opted out of a luxury designer.

The mom of one also wore funky pink snakeskin boots with a heel, adding height to her frame as she completed her outfit with shades, layered necklaces, and ring jewelry.

Wearing her hair down, Katy kept glam with a full face of makeup, one she also wore while exiting her hotel, as seen above. Fans were quick to shade her. Gaining likes, one replied: “You know it saddens me that Katy Perry has really started dressing so skimpy. Before you criticize me, this is my opinion and I’m entitled to it. She really doesn’t have to dress this way to be relevant. She is an amazing singer and a beautiful woman.”

Meanwhile, users on The Daily Mail also twisted in the knife. Here, one user called Katy “middle-aged,” adding that she’s “dressing like a teenager.” Over 200 fans upvoted a comment asking: “Is she having a crisis.”

Others, meanwhile, commented on Katy’s overall appearance. “She used to always look so feminine and classy, but lately something has changed and it is not for the better. She seems harsh in the face, skinny, body sag, harsh, and no longer pretty,” one fan said amid the star’s Ozempic rumors.

Katy Perry showed even more skin in this snakeskin co-ord last year, one she donned for a wild night out in August 2024. Rocking a minuscule top and matching skirt, the “Lifetimes” hitmaker partied the night away while in L.A.

Katy has never mentioned using weight loss drug Ozempic, although she has revealed eating a diet rich in hard-boiled eggs.

Fans, however, continue to speculate that she used Ozempic to slim down.
