Ke Huy Quan, who won an Academy Award for his work in A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, has signed with WME for representation in all areas.
The actor was previously with UTA, signing with the agency in mid-2023 after his Oscar win.
Quan was famously a child actor in the 1980s, making his debut opposite Harrison Ford in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and appearing in seminal ’80s movie The Goonies. But acting work dried up for him as he got older, and for years instead worked developing action choreography.
He made a triumphant return in front of the camera with 2022’s Everything Everywhere, which became a surprise and unlikely hit and an even unlikelier Oscars darling. His performance as a husband desperate to connect with his wife earned him an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Critics Choice Award, Independent Spirit Award, the Gotham Award, as well numerous regional, national and international critics group awards for outstanding supporting performance.
Quan also made history as the first Asian male to win a SAG Award in the best supporting actor category for film. Everything Everywhere was the most decorated picture at the 95th Oscars and was A24’s highest grossing picture of all time, crossing $100 million at the global box office.
The actor has been busy since, nabbing a role in the second season Marvel’s Disney+ series Loki, garnering a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for best supporting actor in a drama series, as well as Disney+ series American Born Chinese.
Quan hits screens from the top of the year to the end, starting with his action hero turn in Universal Pictures and 87North’s Love Hurts. The movie, also starring Ariana DeBose and Daniel Wu, is set to release on Feb. 7, 2025.
He will also appear in the Russo Brother’s sci-fi movie The Electric State, set for a global platform release on March 14, and will voice a character in Disney’s Zootopia 2, which is due to open Nov. 26.
Quan also has an action thriller in development. He is attached to star in Fairytale in New York, set up at Lionsgate with Sisu director Jalmari Helander on board.
The actor continues to be repped by Cohen & Gardner and Narrative.
