Married at First Sight’s David is in the dog house on Decision Day.
In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, February 25, episode of the Lifetime reality series, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Cal Roberson and Dr. Pia Goff meet up with the couples one final time to see if they want to stay married or get divorced.
While they weren’t surprised to hear David, 36, and Michelle’s wishes to go their separate ways after eight weeks of marriage, the experts may not have been prepared for the groom’s final words.
“I feel like you’re making a case for why it’s OK for you to have had an affair on Michelle,” Dr. Pia shares in the preview. “Your apology doesn’t feel genuine. It doesn’t sound genuine because it’s couched in ‘But did you do this? But did you do that?’ You’re now saying to Pastor Cal, ‘If you don’t know something, then it’s your partner’s responsibility to help you figure that out?’ At what point do you take responsibility for your own actions as an adult?”
Although the experts initially matched up David and Michelle, 38, viewers watched a cheating scandal unfold when the groom chose to pursue a relationship with his costar Madison, who was initially set up with Allen.
Although David said he was never intimate with Madison, 29, the experts previously questioned why he sent a text message to her saying he “wanted to eat her up.” (In a previous episode, he claimed that he was just shooting his shot and was a man with “needs” that weren’t being met.)
“I’m not condoning it,” David says. “I f—ed up. I’m already admitting that.”

But after Dr. Pia begins questioning the truth about his statement, David doubles down.
“I don’t care what other people believe or don’t believe,” he continues explaining to the clinical psychotherapist. “I’m not condoning it. At this point, I’m literally checked out.”
Viewers, however, will be clocked in to the unexpected scandal that has rocked season 18.
Later on in the episode, Madison will be confronted with her decision to cheat on her husband with David when she meets with the experts.
Plus, viewers may soon find out if David and Madison want to move forward with their new relationship as the social experiment comes to an end.
