According to sports gaming site SportsMillions, Taylor Swift has reportedly lost close to 150,000 followers on Instagram after she was booed at Super Bowl LIX earlier this month in New Orleans. The 35-year-old “Bad Blood” singer has reportedly dropped upwards of 144,200 followers on the gram, per SportsMillions.
Meanwhile, the sports gaming site reports that T-Swift’s NFL player boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has gained Instagram followers. He has reportedly garnered upwards of 12,500 followers since his Super Bowl LIX loss with the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles. on February 9.
Additionally, the New York Post states that SportsMillions’ reports and statistics of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s social media following were backed up and calculated by the analytics website Social Blade. However, despite the drop in follower count on Instagram, the multiple Grammy-Award winner still boasts over 282 million followers. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce shows a follower count of over 6.7 million on the social media platform.

Taylor Swift Booed At Super Bowl LIX
As mentioned, before losing nearly 150,000 Instagram followers, the Super Bowl LIX crowd booed her at the February 9 event. While sitting in a suite at Caesar’s Superdome to support Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift appeared on the big screen. Bronx rapper Ice Spice was also there, arriving together and sitting next to the “Shake It Off” singer, during the booing incident. As T-Swift hit the big screen with her name below her image, the whole stadium roared “boo.”
The boos from the crowd were so loud that they echoed throughout the venue. With her image still appearing on the big screen, Swift looked around in shock and disbelief and eventually shook it off. However, her reaction soon turned into a viral meme.

Donald Trump Attacks Taylor Swift Again After Super Bowl LIX Crowd Boos Her
President Donald Trump — who became the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl — even reacted to Taylor Swift’s booing incident at Super Bowl LIX. After leaving the game, reportedly after Kendrick Lamar‘s Halftime Show, Trump debriefed the experience on Truth Social. He wrote:
“The worst part of the Super Bowl, by far, was watching the Kickoff where, as the ball is sailing through the air, the entire field is frozen, stiff. College Football does not do it, and won’t! Whose idea was it to ruin the Game? The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving.”
Travis Kelce Reportedly ‘Was Aware’ Of Super Bowl LIX Crowd Booing Taylor Swift And ‘Felt Helpless’
T-Swift nor Kelce directly addressed the booing incident. However, a source close to the NFL star allegedly spoke with Daily Mail. The source allegedly spoke of the incident and about Trump’s comments. They reportedly said:
“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him. He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this. It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts, being from [Reading,] Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him. Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her, especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.”
