Jermaine Dupri Shares His Thoughts On Dawn Robinson’s Living Situation
Roommates, if you’ve been keeping up, then you already know former En Vogue singer Dawn Robinson went viral after opening up about her living situation. Well, now, the video has caught the attention of Jermaine Dupri. During a recent livestream, Jermaine revealed people have been asking him why he hasn’t stepped up to help Dawn. He said after watching her YouTube video, it seemed like Dawn “welcomed the idea of living in her car because of what she saw other people doing.”
Jermaine didn’t hold back from calling out Dawn Robinson over her living situation. While watching the video, he caught her mentioning having an assistant, which threw him off. He couldn’t figure out how she could afford to pay an assistant if she was allegedly broke.
“Ain’t no way she got an assistant and she ain’t got no money. When you ain’t got no money and you out here doing what you gotta do, you out here doing s**t by yourself. You moving around by yourself. Ain’t nobody getting ready to sit up under you and just kick it for nothing,” Jermaine added.
Additionally, the rapper said he doesn’t see how an assistant would stick around for her if she doesn’t have the funds to pay them. “If you ain’t got no money, how they gonna help you… It don’t make sense.” Furthermore, Jermaine added that he just wants to make sure everyone pays attention to Dawn Robinson’s full story. “I don’t know if she broke, she might not have all the money she want in the world but she’s definitely not broke saying she has an assistant.”
Dawn’s Ex-Husband Offers To Help After Her Current Living Setup Goes Viral
Jermaine Dupri wasn’t the only one sharing his thoughts on Dawn Robinson’s life update. TMZ reported that her ex-husband, Andre Allen, had a lot to say about her situation, too, and wanted to lend a helping hand.
Andre told the outlet Dawn would be the perfect fit for Hilton Brands. He said he’s offering her the opportunity because he doesn’t want to see her struggle like some of his close friends. He also mentioned he’d offered Dawn a job before, but she chose to live out of her car instead. However, he believes her personality would be a great match for sales.
Andre is currently engaged and allegedly earning more money than he did while in the music industry. Dawn and Andre were married in 2003 but parted ways in 2010. Andre also helped Dawn reunite with En Vogue before things went wrong.

No matter what everyone says, Dawn Robinson made it clear in her video that she’s happy with her choice and has no regrets.
“I felt free. I was so free. I felt like, ‘Wow, this is so different.’ I felt like I was on a camping trip, and I felt like this was the right thing to do. I don’t regret it,” she said.
She also let it be known that she’s not looking for sympathy — she just wanted to share the truth. “This is not like a ‘Poor Dawn.’ It’s not that. I’m learning about who I am; I’m learning myself as a person as a woman,” Dawn added.
