Dorit Kemsley is being called out by her former hairstylist, Chris Dylan, who leaked a series of text messages from her on his TikTok account amid their dispute over his payment.
After Tracy Tutor, 49, accused the 48-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star of stiffing her glam squad employees on Jeff Lewis‘ radio show, prompting Dorit to accuse Chris of attempting to “bully” her for a payment he was not due on Watch What Happens Live, he reacted to being “dragged on TV by Dorit” after being sent “over the edge” by her “bully” diss.
“Back in November, I was in New York City and I was asked by Dorit if I could stay an extra four days to do her glam for Watch What Happens Live as well as a photo shoot that she had taking place during her stay. Dorit offered to pay for my hotel room for the duration of our stay, which was three nights, four days. She offered to send over her credit card so I could extend my stay,” Chris explained on TikTok, via Bravo Snark Side on Instagram.
Because the hotel where he and Dorit were staying needed a credit card authorization form filled out by Dorit, who wasn’t there to do it in person, Chris forwarded the necessary form to her.
“Good morning!! Are you on your way to NYC? I’m meant to check out today but have my room extended as I mentioned to the 14th. Can I send you a credit card auth form so you can fill out so they can extend my room?” Chris wrote in a text sent to Dorit. “You can fill it out on your phone. Just need your cc info and a signature once signed you just submit at bottom … Or you can just send me a photo of your cc and full address it’s attached to and I can do it for you if that’s easier.”
In response, Dorit replied, “Morning baby! Yes send me that or I can just call?”
As Dorit filled out all that was required of her, Chris asked, “When do you land in NYC? I can’t even wait to see u.”
After what Chris described as a “really great trip” with Dorit, he traveled to Miami, where he learned he had been charged for the three extra nights Dorit had agreed to pay for.
“So I phoned the hotel, just to see what was going on, and they let me know that the card on file could not have been processed. So my card, being the second card for incidentals, was indeed charged,” he revealed. “I just chalked this up to maybe her card got declined due to a fraud alert, maybe because I would assume she was putting her card down for her room as well, and maybe both charges for the same room and the same stay flagged something.”
Not thinking much of it, Chris added the charge to his invoice along with reimbursement for extensions and the services rendered during his trip to New York.
“I had this sent over to her accountant, just like I always do, and then when December came, I submitted a second invoice for the jobs rendered in December that I worked with Dorit. Simultaneously, I was still working with Dorit. We actually went on a work trip to Utah. We were chatting every few days. We were working together weekly. And I was also chatting with her accountant, trying to find out when I would be paid,” Chris recalled, noting that he was informed by the accountant that she was “waiting for [Dorit] to give her the okay to disperse payment.”
Several weeks later, Chris reached out to Dorit directly.
“I just said, ‘Hey, babe, can you just simply ask your accountant or your “office” to release payment to me because it’s almost been four months now, and I still have outstanding invoices from all the services provided, as well as reimbursements,’ and this is when Dorit told me she had a huge issue with my invoice, and she knew it immediately when she received my invoice and apologized for not bringing it to my attention sooner,” he shared. “Dorit and I jumped on a call for 30 or 20 minutes. I happened to be at Tracy Tutor’s house. So she was a witness to the call. She heard the whole thing, and Dorit basically just gave me the runaround, berated me, gaslit me, let me know that she thought that I was lying about everything.”
In addition to accusing Dorit of gaslighting, Chris said that Dorit asked him if he “was coherent or right in the head” before declaring they’d never work together again — and hanging up on him.
“I think after hearing that conversation and seeing how shaken up I was about it, this is when Tracy Tutor stepped in and felt like she was compelled to defend me,” he shared.
Chris then shared more recent texts with Dorit, including an interaction last week in which Dorit accused him of charging her card without permission.
“My apologies for that charge. I never went back and looked and just as you sent this and I read it I went back to check my charges on my Amex and you are correct,” Chris replied. “The room charge is gone from my statement so they must have realized they charged my card on accident instead of the card you gave them when you filled out the credit card auth form for my room 11-14th. I have never called them once. So nothing was done without your permission.”
Still, Dorit insisted Chris had called the hotel and requested her card be charged.
“Here’s more proof when it was reversed after a phone call you made asking them to do so,” she texted.
“I’ve never made a phone call,” Chris replied.
According to Chris, once he realized there had been a mixup, he immediately sent a revised invoice.
Chris also shared their final text, which included “itemized charges with dates and amount and asked when he could expect payment.”
“This is my livelihood. I have a family to take care of. I have bills to pay,” he added. “I was giving her grace by allowing her to keep procrastinating, keeping procrastinating, and I wasn’t getting anything in return. She said to send it to her office, and that’s what I did, expecting to be paid.”
Following Dorit’s appearance on WWHL on Tuesday, Tracy took to Instagram to confirm that Chris had been paid after she called Dorit out.
