DK’s proposal to Normani was all about intention. Leading up to the big moment, he sent her flowers—each with a story. He explained, “The last letter on the flower was ‘Will you marry?’ And she said yes.”
Both of their families were there to witness the proposal. Normani shared that she was completely surprised. DK even timed it with his sister’s spring break, making it clear that family is a priority for the couple.
DK had been ready to propose for a while but wanted to be mindful of Normani’s career. “I had wanted to propose to Normani since last year. But she’s a singer, and, you know, her work kind of conflicts with the schedule. So, I wanted to take an approach where a schedule couldn’t matter,” he said.
