Scarborn Trailer Previews Quentin Tarantino-esque Historical Action Movie

Lionsgate has shared a brand new Ballerina video for the upcoming action thriller movie, which serves as the latest spin-off to the John Wick franchise. The film is slated to make its debut in theaters on June 6, 2025, pitting it against Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck movie. The movie will also be debuting in the same month as other high-profile movies like How to Train Your Dragon, Materialists, 28 Years Later, and F1.

“Taking place during the events of John WIck: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the film follows Eve Macarro, who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma,” reads the official synopsis.

Check out the new Ballerina trailer below (watch more trailers):

Who is in the new Ballerina trailer?

The video continues to hype up Ana de Armas‘ long-awaited debut in the John Wick universe, as her character Eve Macarro goes on a revenge-fueled mission. The spin-off will also feature returning franchise stars Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Ian McShane as Winston, Anjelica Huston as The Director, and the late Lance Reddick in his last appearance as Charon.

Ballerina is directed by Len Wiseman from a screenplay written by Shay Hatten. The cast also includes franchise newcomers Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus. The spin-off is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Keanu Reeves, and Chad Stahelski. It is a production by Thunder Road Films and 87eleven.

The project was first announced in 2019 following the theatrical debut of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which gave us our first look at the Ballerina assassins who are trained by the Ruska Roma syndicate led by Anjelica Huston’s character. The Ruska Roma syndicate is also best known as the organization responsible for training John Wick to become the unbeatable killing machine he’s known today.
