In today’s highly competitive, money-driven world, even the most dedicated and motivated people need an occasional boost of confidence. To help with that, we’ll recommend a few of the best inspiring entrepreneurial movies to fuel your hustle. From The Social Network to Moneyball, they all follow the real-life stories of some of the most successful people and companies worldwide.

Molly’s Game (2017)

Molly’s Game is a fascinating movie based on the memoir of Molly Bloom – an American entrepreneur and speaker. A former mogul skier, she ended up organizing high-stakes underground poker games in Los Angeles during the 2000s. Known as the “Poker Princess”, Bloom attracted many A-list players to her tables and later became an FBI target.

Jessica Chastain plays Molly Bloom directed by Aaron Sorkin. This may not be your typical entrepreneurial movie, but it’s surely a portrayal of a highly intelligent, strong, determined, and, ultimately, successful woman. We want to remind you that whether playing at real money online casinos in the Philippines or anywhere else, you have to find legitimate operators.

The Social Network (2010)

The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, was released in 2010. It stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake and follows the story of Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg and the creation of the social media platform Facebook.

The Academy Award-winning movie is the perfect portrayal of what motivation, ambition, and innovation can achieve. It also captures the ugly side of the entrepreneurial world, reminding us that oftentimes, massive success comes at a heavy price that someone ultimately has to pay.

Moneyball (2011)

Moneyball is a sports drama from 2011 based on the true story of Billy Beane. Following a relatively unsuccessful career as an outfielder for different MLB teams (including the New York Mets), Beane, played by Brad Pitt, moved on to become a scout for the Oakland Athletics (known as the A’s). A few years later, he was named General Manager of the A’s.

Faced with one of the lowest budgets in the League, bigger teams taking on their best players, and a range of other disadvantages, Bean proved that when there’s a will, there’s a way. Along with Yale graduate economist Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), he applies statistical analysis (called sabermetrics in baseball) to get the A’s out of the woods.

Steve Jobs (2015)

The movie is a biopic following the remarkable journey of late tech entrepreneur Steve Jobs during three of his iconic product launches. From a college dropout to one of the most successful and wealthy businessmen in the history of the world, his life is an inspiration for many people around the globe.

Among others, the movie features Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman. With a rating of 7.2/10 on IMDb and 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, this is a definite must-watch. The film was directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin and Walter Isaacson.

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

The Pursuit of Happyness is way up there when it comes to inspiring entrepreneurial movies to watch. Released in 2006 and starring Will Smith, Thandie Newton, and Jaden Smith, the film is based on the life of Christopher Paul Gardner, Sr. – an entrepreneur, New York Times bestselling author, and award-winning film producer.

Before his success, however, he endures extreme financial problems and is left homeless for nearly one year along with his then small child Christopher Gardner Jr. In the end, Chris Gardner’s pursuit of happiness is successful, and he achieves his main goal to provide a better future for himself and his family.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

Based on Jordan Belfort’s 2007 memoir, directed by Martin Scorsese, and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, and Margot Robbie, among others, the movie was a huge success when it hit theaters back in 2013. It has an impressive rating of 8.2/10 on IMDb and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Learn about the exciting career and life of former stockbroker Jordan Belfort. From starting an entry-level job at a Wall Street brokerage firm to founding his own firm a few years later and defrauding wealthy investors out of millions, Belfort’s story is anything but ordinary. This is a must-watch for any aspiring entrepreneur.

Honorable Mentions

These are far from the only inspiring entrepreneurial movies you can watch. Other titles like Joy (2015), a biographical comedy-drama film based on the life of Joy Mangano, who invented the Miracle Mop, are definitely worth watching. The Founder (2016), Thank You for Smoking (2005), and The Aviator (2004) are also among our favorites.

With six nominations, including one for Best Picture, at the 2016 Oscars, The Big Short is a captivating movie. It tells us the story of Michael Burry and the subprime mortgage crisis in the US between 2007 and 2010. The film stars Christian Bale (Michael Burry), Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt.
