Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible has solidified itself as one of the more interesting and gripping animated series out there, bringing Robert Kirkman’s brutal and emotional superhero saga to life.

With Season 3 wrapping up in epic fashion, fans have been eager to know when Mark Grayson’s story will continue. Now, thanks to an official update, we finally have a release window for Season 4, and it’s coming sooner than some might have expected.

Following the intense Season 3 finale, Invincible’s social media account shared a humorous update to hold fans over. The post read:

“Invincible will return for Season 4. Should be sometime in 2026. Voice acting is complete. There may be a new storyline not in the comic featuring Darkblood. Thragg has been cast. Invincible has also been cast.”

While this doesn’t lock down an exact release date, it Season 4 is obviously further along in production than previous seasons at this stage. Considering the two-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2, this update is a good sign that the show is avoiding similar delays.

If you’re unfamiliar with Invincible’s original Image Comics run, you might be wondering who Thragg is. Well, he’s the emperor of the Viltrumites, and he makes Conquest, one of Season 3’s most terrifying villains, look tame in comparison. Thragg’s arrival signals an even bigger war on the horizon, and his role will be pivotal moving forward.

While Amazon hasn’t revealed who will voice Thragg, Kirkman confirmed the casting and teased an exciting choice for the role:

“I mean, it would certainly be weird if he didn’t show up in the show. Yeah. I mean, I don’t know. It’s so tough. Here’s what I’ll say: He’s been cast and he’s amazing.”

With voice work already finished and production well underway, Invincible Season 4 is shaping up to be another brutal, emotional, and action-packed installment.
