Shep Rose doesn’t appear to have learned his lesson about flying girls he likes around the world — even if they barely know each other — despite how his relationship with Sienna Evans ended.
Teddi Mellencamp, who has been friends with Rose, 44, since they were young kids growing up in Hilton Head, South Carolina, gave insight into his love life after he and Evans, 26, called it quits in summer 2024.
“We get into talking where I’m like, ‘OK, here’s the deal. Shep, we’re not going to just fall for young people and take them on trips and tell and love bomb them, and we’re not going to do it,’” Mellencamp, 43, recounted to Tamra Judge during the Thursday, March 20, episode of their “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast.
Mellencamp recalled chatting with Rose earlier in the month when he was visiting California and learning that he already broke her dating rules.
“Within 10 seconds he’s like, ‘Oh, Teddi, you’re gonna get annoyed.’ And I said, ‘Why?’ And he goes, ‘I already met somebody that I’ve decided to have meet me on my next trip,’” she revealed. “I go, ‘So, you went on one date and now you’re flying her on a trip?’”
Mellencamp didn’t reveal the identity of Rose’s new flame, but she told Judge, 57, that the woman is “significantly younger than us.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum also teased that after checking out Rose’s future travel buddy on social media, she learned, “There was a lot of bathing suit shots of this girl.”
Although Mellencamp has nothing but love for the Southern Charm star, she confessed, “I’m just concerned with Shep’s picker.”
Judge was in complete agreement, saying, “[His] picker seems to be off, but I think that he to me, seems, like, just a professional bachelor.”
She explained, “This guy’s [like] 45 years old. He doesn’t even really talk too much about getting married. He’s dating girls that are half his age, or at least close to that in different countries. I don’t think he’s looking for forever. I think he’s looking for a right now.”
Mellencamp’s warning for Rose comes after he had a whirlwind romance with Evans last year. The pair went online and although Evans lived in the Bahamas, Rose was soon infatuated with her, telling his friends on episodes of Southern Charm that she could be someone he’d have kids with.
Rose revealed in November 2024 that he was single. Earlier this year, Bravo fans learned more about Rose and Evans’ relationship, which came to an end during a group trip to the Bahamas, which filmed in late spring 2024.
“I’m wildly, wildly attracted to you and I’m actually in love with you,” Rose confessed during a February episode once Evans arrived at the hotel. Evans responded, “I feel like we never kinda defined what the relationship was.”

Evans explained during a March episode that she didn’t think they were “in a relationship” and noted that she wasn’t looking for anything serious. Rose was visibly heartbroken by the whole situation but left the Bahamas ready for what’s next.
Mellencamp, meanwhile, told her podcast listeners in March that she “had to text Shep” when she was in the hospital to talk about the romance drama. (Mellencamp underwent a craniotomy to remove four tumors from her brain last month and is now preparing for radiation and immunotherapy treatment.)
“I was like, ‘What are you doing? This is embarrassing,’” she recalled telling her longtime friend.
Once Mellencamp was out of the hospital, she reunited with Rose in Encino, California, to catch up, which is when she learned he was seeing someone new.
