During the interview, Sharpe asked Miami, born Caresha Brownlee, if she believed society pushes women to alter their bodies and get cosmetic surgeries to fit in and look the part. He added, “Be it be BBLs (Brazilian Butt Lifts), fillers, face lifts, things of that nature.”
Miami replied, “Yeah. Uhm Hmm.” She explained, “When you got a natural body, you look like a little boy. You don’t have no sex appeal. You’re this and you’re that. When you do get the BBLs, it’s like, ‘Oh my God. Your body’s fake.’ It’s like, if you’re natural, they hate you. If you got a BBL, they hate you. What do you want?”

Yung Miami continued to explain her thoughts and mentioned Lizzo and her recent dramatic weight loss. She said, “I’m gonna just use Lizzo for example. Everybody was like, ‘Oh my God. She’s so fat.’ She looks so good now, now it’s like, ‘Oh my God. Eww.’”
Sharpe continued to reiterate criticism he’s seen online, “‘She done had surgery. She done got lipo.’” Miami agrees, “Yeah. It’s like, ‘Oh my God. She needs to stop.’ Like, pick a side. What do you want?”

On her Twitch livestream on Saturday (March 22), Lizzo live-reacted to an edited promo clip of Yung Miami’s weight loss comments. Lizzo said the clip she originally saw stopped at Miami saying “ew.” She added that she never went and watched the full, unedited conversation after seeing that.
During her livestream, Lizzo attempts to call Yung Miami to confront her about the comments. However, Miami doesn’t pick up on the first try. Later during the stream, Lizzo successfully tries again and gets clarification. After Lizzo asks what Yung Miami meant by “ew,” she says, “Before your weight loss people used to be like, ‘Oh my God. She needs to lose weight. She’s too fat. That sh*t not cute.’ That’s what I was pertaining to, that part. That was the ‘ew’ that I was pertaining to.”
Lizzo acknowledges Miami’s explanation and adds, “Actually, I thought you were saying I got too little.” Miami adds, “Noo. I was saying people will always have something to say. It’s like you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. That’s what I was trying to say.” The two women continue to discuss the mishap for five more minutes, amongst other things.
