Billy Ray Cyrus Pens Emotional Post To Miley Cyrus Amid Ongoing Rift Rumors

Just two months after speculation of a family rift began making headlines, Billy Ray Cyrus is showing support for daughters Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, offering public praise for their recent musical achievements.

Billy Ray Cyrus took to Instagram on Tuesday to share heartfelt words alongside side-by-side photos of his daughters.

“Holy sh-t. I seldom ever swear in my post, but this deserves one!” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. “You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his a– kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus .”

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer continued his tribute by congratulating Miley and Noah for what he described as a significant artistic evolution.

“Completely taking their art to a whole new level,” he added. “I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy! Love Dad.”

Billy Ray Cyrus’ emotional post comes months after his headline-making performance at President Donald Trump’s Liberty Ball on January 20, which ignited a wave of reaction, not just from fans, but from his own family.

As The Blast reported, taking the stage at the high-profile inaugural event, the country star performed his iconic hit “Achy Breaky Heart” and his viral collaboration “Old Town Road” with Lil Nas X. However, what was meant to be a career highlight was soon marred by awkward onstage moments and technical mishaps.

In his message, the 36-year-old reflected on his bond with Billy Ray and expressed dismay over his father’s recent behavior, citing specifically his appearance at former President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“Since my earliest memories, all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life,” Trace wrote. “Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”

Trace also mentioned Noah, claiming she “desperately has wanted” her father to “be a part of her life,” but alleged that Billy Ray “has not been there for her.” “That’s your baby girl,” he added. “She deserves better. Somehow, just like me, she still idolizes you, though. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns.”

While Billy Ray did not directly respond to Trace’s message, he posted on Instagram a few days later that he was “praying” for his “family” and “children.”

Sources later told Page Six that Trace’s Instagram statement had been reviewed and approved by all of Billy Ray’s children, except Braison Cyrus, before it was posted publicly.

Amid the growing buzz, Billy Ray released a statement speaking out about the events of the night.

“I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me,” the country music legend said at the time. “I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night, and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, ‘You’re on,’ you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to h-ll.”

He concluded, “I was there for the people, and we had a blast. That’s called rock ‘n’ roll!”
