Teresa Giudice gushed over husband Luis Ruelas‘ business sense during a recent podcast interview — just as he was being hit with over $2.5 million in tax liens.
As she also denied that he was involved in any “shady business,” spoke of her regrets, her daughters, and her hall pass, Teresa, 52, who was dealt with her own $300,000 tax lien earlier this month, shared her most iconic moment on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and spoke of Luis’ business accomplishments while also explaining why he appear “red” on the show.
“To me, whoever takes their company public, I think is amazing, and my husband took his company public the day before he met me,” Teresa revealed on the March 25 episode of Michelle Barone RED. “It’s so funny, a psychic told me that I was gonna meet somebody on Wall Street that’s wearing a suit, and my mom always wanted me to be with a guy that wore a suit. And I did pray to my parents.”
“He is so amazing, and poor guy got a bad rap because unfortunately my family members and [Margaret Josephs] talking to people from his past,” she continued.
According to Teresa, her daughters also “love” Luis, 50.
“My daughters even say, ‘Ma, we can’t even see you with dad [Joe Giudice]. Luis [is] your guy,’” she shared.
As for Luis’ red appearance on RHONJ, Teresa explained, “He’s Spanish and he’s Hispanic and he’s dark-skinned.”
Then, when the host states that Luis has no “shady business” going on that Teresa would have to worry about, claiming he’s great in business and has things together, Teresa denied that she had anything to be concerned with when it came to their finances.
“No, no. If anything, unfortunately … he has the best heart ever,” she declared.
With RHONJ on pause ahead of season 15, Teresa said she “[hopes] they bring it back.”
“I don’t feel like I’m done yet,” she admitted.
That said, she does have one regret about her time in the spotlight.
“I should’ve never signed that, the papers for the show,” she revealed.
Moving on to her daughters, Gabriella Giudice, 21, and Audriana Giudice, 15, Teresa described Gabriella as “very private.”
“I’m totally fine with [that], but she does stick up for her mom on the show when she needs to, and then my youngest, I’m like, ‘You gotta get more on TikTok.’ She’s 15, so she’s getting there. I don’t push them. Whatever they want to do,” she noted.
Also during the interview, after naming actor Michele Morrone, 34, as her “hall pass,” Teresa named her most iconic moment.
“I guess what made me iconic was the table flip, and now I’m embracing it because everyone does love it. Anything I’m ever on, they want me to flip a table,” she shared. “At first, I didn’t embrace it because they kept showing that mean face, and I didn’t like that.”
