And just like that, Ultra Music Festival is officially a quarter-century old.
Miami’s Bayfront Park once again transformed into an electronic music paradise as Ultra celebrated its milestone 25th anniversary this past weekend. The iconic event, which has become the de facto kickoff to the US festival season for EDM enthusiasts, delivered a masterclass in production and programming.
Eye-popping LED displays illuminated the downtown skyline as attendees from over 100 countries converged to dance and watch performances from the world’s top DJs. Veterans like Carl Cox, deadmau5 and Armin van Buuren shared billing with today’s rising stars, reinforcing Ultra’s commitment to both honoring its roots and shaping electronic music’s future.
Between the Miami heat and the pyrotechnics, temperatures weren’t the only things rising—so too were the hands of thousands as familiar anthems and fresh IDs echoed across Biscayne Bay. The festival’s beloved Mainstage was a hub for dance music’s biggest names while the underground-focused RESISTANCE Megastructure continued its tradition of serving breakneck techno to devoted fans who prefer their tempos high and their sweat glands depleted.
