The aftermath of Angela‘s vault event is still reverberating throughout the group on this episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. No one can believe that Brit threatened Kenya with a pistol. In fact, Kelli claims to have not even heard the comment, despite standing right next to Brit throughout the whole ordeal. But it’s how Kenya chooses to handle the situation that truly changes the future trajectory for these Georgia peaches.
Ever since Angela accepted Shamea’s apology, their friendship has been on a positive path forward. Shamea, hoping to get to the bottom of what exactly set Brit off, has Brit over to hear her side. Brit appears to be exhausted and Angela explains that she, too, got little sleep since she was fending off the backlash from the owner of the venue.
Brit is full of apologies and tries to justify her behavior. Because Kenya kept cutting her off, she felt disrespected. Angela feels a bit of guilt for this situation since she was responsible for THE question during the game that set the whole ordeal off. Angela claims that she was just trying to acknowledge Brit’s feelings with Kenya. Brit felt provoked, but promises she was not trying to “intimidate” or harm Kenya. She knows she has to come down like 700 notches and make this situation right with Kenya.
When it comes to Porsha hinting at things about Charles, Angela is not worried. She reminds the ladies that she is married to a celeb, and those things happen. See what happens when you don’t give life to pettiness? If only Kenya could have taken that route with Brit…
Speaking of Kenya, she is prepping for her hair spa grand opening. She invites Porsha and Kelli to assist her in the process and they chuckle about their personal security guards. Kenya explains that although she did invite all of the ladies, she never SPECIFICALLY invited Brit.
Kenya was caught off guard since the night was all fun and games… until it wasn’t. Once she heard Brit mention pistols, it all changed. The issues at the table between Brit and Kenya weren’t really that serious, so it’s curious what would “warrant that kind of clownery” in Brit’s head. Kelli attempts to defend her girl Brit and tries to convince Kenya to get all the facts before reacting, but alas, we all know how this ends. Kenya threatens to run a background check on Brit and gives us one last twirl to shoo away her haters.
Angela and her daughter, Ahmauri, sit down for a coffee date. Angela is especially close with Ahmauri since her father was murdered in Chicago and it was just the two of them for some time. Although they have a tight bond, things with Angela’s mom and sister are quite broken. Angela financially supports her bi-polar mother, but things sometimes get heated when it comes to providing.
On top of that, Angela is also still reeling from just finding out Ahmauri secretly got married four months ago. Ahmauri does not think this is a big deal, but Angela tries to be sure her daughter knows she can come to her about anything in the future.
When Brit meets up with Porsha, she admits to taking it too far with Kenya. She really wants Kenya to accept her apology, but she is tired of Kenya putting on a little bit of tone with her when the group is around. Brit feels targeted by Kenya and Porsha can admittedly see how Kenya gives off queen energy. The petty bickering at the table was not hair raising, but once Kenya claimed to hear Brit talk about a pistol, things got serious. Brit explains that she was “triggered” in the heated moment and knows that she should not have mentioned the pistol. Damage control 101. Interesting that Brit seems to be apologizing to everyone except Kenya…
Angela attempts to find out what exactly Porsha was insinuating when she mentioned she had some tea on Charles. But the thing is, Charles ain’t giving up sh*t. In fact, he eggs Angela on, stating, “when you got her, let me know.” He has zero interest in much of anything Angela discusses, including familial drama.
The Kenya Moore hair spa event is finally here and everyone is coming out to support. Cynthia is there to celebrate, along with a cameo from Miss Lawrence. Kenya makes her grand entrance, led in by cheerleaders, and everyone is there to hype her up. Even Brit has decided to attend the opening. She rides with Kelli and talks about the white flowers she brought and the card she wrote out for Kenya as an apology. Brit is nervous to attend for obvious reasons, but also because in the midst of all this fighting, her aunt passed away.
In the meantime, the models start walking in for the hair contest and it is truly impressive. Shamea fills Cynthia in on how she made up with Angela, but Porsha has yet to make up with Drew. They give Cynthia the spark notes of the fight (proving that Cynthia DID know about the pistol) and they worry that just because Brit apologizes, doesn’t mean that Kenya will accept it.
Kenya appreciates Angela reaching out about the Brit next-level threats. Angela claims she is on Kenya’s side, despite being the one responsible for asking the question that started it all. Kenya is currently in retaliation mode, and when she sees Brit enter the event, the eyes roll hard.
Drew confronts Porsha and states that they do not need to act like each other do not exist. When it comes to Dennis, Drew states, “You can have his hot dog.” Drew calls this dumb and refuses to do fake interactions with Porsha. Porsha walks away from Drew because it seems like Drew has a different agenda. After trying to discuss this three times, Drew is over it.
Before Kenya begins her speech, Brit attempts to apologize to her. Kenya blows right past her and the flowers; acting like Brit does not even exist. To me, that is shade enough. Kenya could have just stopped right there to make a point, but it gets darker. Brit makes a big deal about leaving the event in the midst of Kenya’s speech and exits the spa.
Kenya continues to use her platform to bash Brit, who is not even there to hear it (so the effect is not the same). Kenya has the attention of the entire party and talks about how she is sick of people bringing her down for no reason and tired of people looking for a moment. She demands the “fake flowers” be given to somebody homeless, and when Kelli tries to salvage Brit’s card, Kenya tells Kelli to stay out of it.
Kenya is on a rampage, threatening to pay Brit dust. There is no stopping her as she produces some “research” about Brit. At first the blown up posters start shady, pointing out all of the work Brit has had done, prompting Kenya to ask her rapt audience, “who is this ho?” Why would Kenya choose to do this at her opening?!
Kenya then shows Brit as a “trap ho, video ho,” and at that point, Kelli excuses herself, claiming “everybody been a ho in their day.” She does not want to be a part of Kenya disrespecting her friend.
The final poster Kenya whips out cannot even be shown on tv. “Due to the graphic nature of these photographs, Bravo has chosen not to exhibit them.” No one can believe that Kenya has stooped this far. Kenya justifies her actions because she got threatened with a gun. No one likes how low Kenya goes- what a waste of a spa opening! Even Cynthia hates that Kenya let Brit get the best of her in this way.
Porsha demands to stop filming after she leaves the event and wants to pretend like she was never even there. It is… a lot for everyone to digest. And it is the last time Kenya will be gracing our screens.
“Based on Kenya’s behavior, the decision was made to cease filming with her this season,” said in a statement by Bravo shown on our screens. Kenya could have filed a police report about the pistol comment, talked to Brit privately, but exposing those types of photos publicly humiliating Brit? Life is all about choices, and this one shot Kenya in the foot…no pun intended.
