Everyone does a deep dive into Heather, aka Sir’s sister, Lena. Lena is from Auckland and was questioned by the police when Sir kidnapped Lacey. She left for the US immediately after that with a fake name. The fact that someone so deeply connected to Sir has been hiding in plain sight this whole time is a gut-punch…and Lacey is sure that she is an actual lawyer.
Trent sees Heather’s photo at M&A and doesn’t believe it initially. But instead of brushing it off, he decides to go ask her himself. Meanwhile, Margaret is still working her own angle. She invites Carrie from the bus station over, the same woman who gave her a photo from her “son” and said, “The clouds will always part.” Margaret suspects Carrie of kidnapping Jamie, and her instincts are dead on.
Heather (Lena) runs to the station and confronts Trent about telling the DA they had a personal relationship. She’s rattled, but trying to stay cool. She notices Trent has an evidence box labeled “Christian Evans.” He tries to talk, but she gets a text and says she has to go.
Heather visits Sir. She updates him that the DA is trying to throw her off the case and says she’s suspicious that Trent knows who she really is. Sir doesn’t believe Trent’s smart enough to figure it out, but when Heather mentions meeting Margaret, Sir realizes they’ve been figured out. He tells her to leave. She explodes, yelling at him about Gabi, and says she’ll do something to Gabi.
Trent brings the Christian evidence box to M&A, and Gabi, despite her earlier vows, decides to go see Sir. She says she’s not going alone. When Gabi goes to visit Sir, she brings Ethan, her therapist, along to keep her steady. Sir, ever the manipulator, tries appealing to Gabi’s past and guilt, and Gabi convinces Ethan to leave so he can call Margaret. Alone with Sir, things spiral fast.

Margaret tells Carrie that Jamie came home. Carrie looks upset, but ends up faking excitement. She notices the toy train that Jamie used to hang on to. It’s clear something is off. Carrie is unraveling.
Meanwhile, Zeke and Lacey are following the Heather/Lena breadcrumb trail. Lacey shares how hard it was to change her name from Bella — a personal, vulnerable moment that ends with them kissing.
Then everything explodes when the power shuts off across the city. Zeke, who has past trauma with darkness, starts to spiral. Lacey tries to help, but it’s intense. Dhan and Trent fight about whether to go to the prison to save Gabi and Ethan. Trent ends up blurting out that he’s still in love with Gabi.
Back at the prison, with the blackout in full effect, prisoners start escaping. Sir fights them off and drags Gabi into a cell, locking her in. She begs to be let out, but he claims he’s saving her. She threatens to kill herself if Ethan dies, and only then does Sir agree to help her get Ethan. This is one of the most harrowing scenes in the episode — we see Gabi completely stripped down emotionally, and Sir’s twisted logic trying to present this as love or protection.
At Margaret’s house, things get deadly. She confronts Carrie about kidnapping Jamie. Carrie snaps, and when Margaret goes to make a phone call, Carrie attacks her. While Margaret is passed out, Carrie confesses she took Jamie because her own son died, and she thought Margaret was a bad mother.
Back at M&A, Dhan and Trent are connecting dots. They discover Christian was planning on leaving the day of his “suicide,” and Heather’s alibi falls apart. Heather accidentally implicated herself with a cup of coffee.

Gabi and Sir leave the cell to find a burner phone from the guard. The guard’s fading fast, and Gabi promises to get help.
Then, Jamie returns and finds Carrie standing over a bleeding-out Margaret. It’s heartbreaking and horrifying. Carrie tries to manipulate Jamie again, but Jamie proves to be stronger than anyone thought — he refuses to leave and stays by his mother’s side. “My name is Jamie,” he says. “I’m not leaving my mother.”
Gabi calls Dhan, tells him Ethan needs help, and then the phone dies. Dhan snaps into action, needing prison blueprints and a list of all inmates. Gabi, now face-to-face with Sir again, tells him the only way to be free of him might be death. The only question is: Whose death?
An inmate comes to get Gabi, saying Dhan sent him. She can’t save the guard, but she takes his message for his wife and kid and leaves. Sir, in a rare moment, doesn’t answer about Heather but urges Gabi to save herself.
In the hospital, Margaret wakes up and confirms Heather stole a lawyer’s identity. The prison guard is alive, barely. Lacey goes to visit Zeke in hopes to talk about his breakdown. Zeke refuses to talk about it, and Lacey says she can’t see them having a relationship if he can’t even be honest about what’s going on. He says that if she can’t respect that he doesn’t want to get into it, they should keep their relationship professional. Lacey leaves and her key is left behind. Dhan goes to Trent to update him. Back in Auckland, Lena hasn’t been seen in 8 weeks, around when Sir kidnapped Lacey. Trent shows Dhan Lena’s apartment application, and there’s a picture of Heather. He says the arrest warrant is being issued.
And just when you think it’s all over, there’s one more twist: A new woman shows up at M&A. Gabi offers help. The woman replies that she thinks they can help each other. Her name? Heather Tollin Rogers — the real one! Boom!
