Wendy Williams’ conservatorship fight takes a dramatic turn, with the judge presiding over her case getting blasted on social media.

The online backlash follows reports of Judge Lisa Sokoloff being extremely unprofessional by taking hurtful jabs at the former radio personality and her family. She allegedly threw shots at everyone, including several threats aimed at Williams’ ever-vocal niece, Alex Finnie.

The judge’s controversial actions at a recent hearing come after Wendy Williams and her niece raised concerns about her guardianship and her New York care facility. The pair’s dinner outing was ruined by her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, and the facility’s false kidnapping claim to the police.

Although many are rooting for Williams’ freedom, one judge may not be a fan of the entertainer or her family. Multiple sources highlighted the alleged drama between Sokoloff and Williams during a hearing on Thursday, April 10.

They noted Williams attended the hearing with her niece and loved ones, but the judge ruined the atmosphere with outrageous comments at everyone. She launched several attacks at Finnie, accusing her of leaking information to the media and threatening her with sanctions for future conduct.

After tearing Williams’ niece down a couple of notches, the legal umpire bared her fangs at the rest of the family. She allegedly implied they were up to no good before ripping the TV personality’s career apart.

Sokoloff noted Williams once had a great career; however, her glory days were over. “It’s done,” the judge declared, per TMZ.

Sources claimed Sokoloff’s comments deeply hurt Williams, as it was unclear why she vehemently attacked her career. The judge’s harrowing assessment of the media personality and her family did not sit right with fans who called for her dismissal on X.

Many implied Sokoloff must be a part of the alleged group trying to exploit Williams and obstruct her freedom, with one theorist claiming: “This is a dangerous opinionated judge that should be removed. It obviously appears to be an orchestrated effort to keep Wendy suppressed.”

Another echoed similar claims, writing, “I think this judge has some sort of personal dislike of Wendy and should be removed from her case.”

A third declared Sokoloff should be imprisoned “for her money grab operation!” They also implored others to support Williams’ freedom, noting, “Folks, If this can happen to Wendy, it can happen to us.”

The hatred for Judge Sokoloff was intense, with critics bashing her for attacking Williams without justification. Someone implied she had a personal vendetta against the former talk show host, alleging:

“That’s not just unprofessional, it’s a judge who feels they can issue opinions on matters in which they have no expertise. This was not a matter before the court.”

Another X user shared similar sentiments, adding, “This judge is complete trash and has been out to get Wendy from the start.” A fellow critic labeled the situation “heartbreaking,” emphasizing that the law was meant to “protect” and not “humiliate” people deserving dignity like Williams.

While it remains unclear why Sokoloff allegedly went off on Williams and her family, it comes after the court-appointed guardian did a complete 180. The Blast covered the bizarre situation, reporting that Morrissey had changed her tune about Williams having no restrictions on her movement and family visits.

According to sources, Morrissey recently blocked Williams from attending a planned dinner with her niece, Finnie, and her new attorney, Joe Tacopina. This decision contradicted a letter from the guardian’s lawyer, claiming the former talk show host was not being restricted from seeing her family.

Morrissey’s reasons for denying the outing remain unclear, but it might be linked to Williams’ desire to terminate her guardianship. Reports claimed the entertainer might push for a jury trial to establish her new legal rep, Tacopina, as her guardian if a judge does not cancel the conservatorship.

Besides her guardian’s sudden change of heart, Williams seemed to be on different pages with her Manhattan assisted living facility. The drama went down in March, with the facility accusing Finnie of kidnapping her aunt despite allegedly letting them go out for dinner.

The Manhattan facility filed a police report against Finnie, accusing her of “evading staff” by taking Williams out of the building without permission. Their claims baffled the duo, who told reporters they had gone for Williams’ psychological evaluation before stopping by an Italian restaurant.

They implied the facility was aware of their movements. Williams also reiterated her guardian’s claims of no restrictions on her movement. Given the sudden changes, she argued the incident showcased Morrissey and the facility’s dishonesty and concerning behavior.

Insiders echoed similar sentiments about the incident, claiming the facility’s protocol stopped anyone from leaving the fifth floor of its memory unit without an attendant. However, Williams and her niece were allegedly escorted to the lobby and into their Uber by a staff member.
