The “Gossip Girl” alum accused her director and costar of sexual harassment; meanwhile, he has fired back with a lawsuit of his own, claiming that she tried to take creative control of the film away from him.
With the trial not until March 2026, it is still too early to tell who is going to testify, but one “It Ends With Us” extra wants to share his story under oath to support Baldoni.

Justin Baldoni’s Friend Is Ready To Testify Under Oath

Baldoni’s friend Adam Mondschein is prepared to testify under oath in order to protect his friend from Lively’s accusations. It should be worth noting that he is not the only friend and family member to appear in the film, as Baldoni’s wife Emily makes a cameo appearance as an ultrasound technician, and Lively’s sister Robyn appears during a funeral scene.
Baldoni told Page Six that he plans to testify because he was “surprised” by the claims that Lively made in her lawsuit. “My experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit,” he said. “Indeed, I was surprised to read her description of the scene.”
He said that the set was “entirely professional” and claims that Lively “never complained or expressed discomfort at any point.”

Blake Lively Complains About ‘Chaotic’ Birthing Scene

In her court filing, Lively had a lot to say about a birthing scene in the film, in which Mondschein played her OB-GYN. In her amended complaint, which was filed in February 2025, the birthing scene was “chaotic, crowded, and utterly lacking in standard industry protections for filming nude scenes….”
According to the filing, she complains that she “felt forced into a compromise that she would be naked from below the chest down” when Baldoni “insisted to Ms. Lively that women give birth naked.”
Her documents also claim that Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath “failed to close the set,” which allowed “non-essential crew to pass through while Ms. Lively was partially nude from below the chest down with her legs spread wide in stirrups and only a small piece of fabric covering her genitalia.”

Lively also claimed that she “was not provided with anything with which to cover herself between takes until after she had made multiple requests.”

Justin Baldoni’s Friend Counters Her Claims

Mondschein told the publication that Lively was not “partially nude” as she had claimed and insisted that her costume “included a full hospital gown, black shorts and torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant in addition to whatever personal garments she chose.”
However, Lively didn’t just have an issue with the wardrobe. It appears that she also had an issue with Mondschein himself. The filing states that she was “alarmed” that Baldoni had hired his “best friend” to play her OB-GYN. The court documents state that she “felt that the selection of Mr. Baldoni’s friend for this intimate role, in which the actor’s face and hands were in close proximity to her nearly nude genitalia for a birth scene, was invasive and humiliating.”

A source later told Peoplemagazine that Lively was “extremely uncomfortable” upon learning “the actor who was placing his face between her legs was the boss’s best friend,” adding, “But apparently, Baldoni and company think it was perfectly fine to have his best friend play that role, out of all the actors that could have been chosen.”
However, Mondstein took offense at her comments, stating, “Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive, as my bonafides are easily searchable online.” He has previously appeared in shows like “Castle” and “Arrested Development.”
Blake Lively Claims Two Anonymous Women Are Willing To Testify For Her

While Baldoni has his friend by his side, Lively’s camp also claims that two other women who were made “uncomfortable” on set are willing to testify.
In her February filing, her lawyers wrote:
“Ms. Lively was not alone in complaining about Mr. Baldoni and raised her concerns contemporaneously as they arose in 2023 … Importantly, and contrary to the entire narrative Defendants have invented, Mr. Baldoni acknowledged the complaints in writing at the time. He knew that women other than Ms. Lively also were uncomfortable and had complained about his behavior.”

The women have not been named in the complaint, but the filing states that they have “given Ms. Lively permission to share the substance of their communications” and “they will testify and produce responsive documents in the discovery process.”
What This Means For Justin Baldoni’s Case

Right now, Baldoni has the bigger win when it comes to witnesses. His friend Adam Mondschein is prepared to defend someone accused of sexual harassment, which puts his own professional reputation on the line. It’s possible that he might see a lack of work due to his affiliation with the director in the coming year.

It remains to be seen who these two anonymous women are and if they will testify at all. It makes sense that they wouldn’t want their names out in the headlines given the alacrity on both sides, but so far, Lively hasn’t received much – if any – public support from her “It Ends With Us” costars. If anything, there’s buzz that she used her friendship with Taylor Swift in order to persuade the two women to testify for her. The move doesn’t seem too surprising since she seemingly used her friendship with the “Anti-Hero” singer as a “veiled threat” against Baldoni in the editing room.
The pop star definitely adds another interesting element to this case, given the amount of evidence that has linked her to the project. It is currently unclear if Taylor Swift plans to testify at the trial, although you can bet it will be at the cost of her “friendship” with the “Gossip Girl” alum.
