Brynn Whitfield on Which RHONY Costar Should Be Fired, Drama

Brynn Whitfield spoke of The Real Housewives of New York City cast and her experience on the show while appearing on a podcast last week.

With the 16th season of the Bravo reality series yet to be confirmed, Brynn, 39, revealed who she didn’t want to return, looked back on the drama of season 15, and confirmed who she’d like to trade places with as she also spoke of the high cost of living in the Big Apple, her friendship with Pandora Sabo, 38, Vanderpump Rules, her past relationships, and more.

“[Rebecca Minkoff],” Brynn replied when asked who should be fired on the April 14 episode of Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets. “I’ve always liked her, and we get along in the Hamptons. For reality TV … She’s not good for reality TV. She can’t shut off. You’re filming with her, and she’s aware that the cameras are there, and she was, like, just there to support her business, and I’m like, ‘No, but that comes organically … You gotta just be you …Don’t hide the kids. Don’t fly in to film. Just be yourself.’ And then on social, promote yourself. If you make the show pop off, you pop off.”

“That didn’t register, so I would fire her. She’s a great businesswoman, very smart. But I think just stay in the office,” Brynn added of Rebecca, who already confirmed her departure.

Looking back at her second season on RHONY, Brynn, who suffered a major falling out with Ubah Hassan, 41, on the show’s season 15 finale, admitted she “really struggled” because she doesn’t like confrontation.

“I like making drama and I like playful dumb little fights … I can’t, when people actually get into it and I think they’re serious, I’m very sensitive and I can’t stand confrontation,” she explained.

Then, when asked which co-star she’d like to trade places with, Brynn named Erin Lichy, 37, who recently welcomed her fourth child with husband Abraham “Abe” Lichy.

“Erin is my fav. She’s a babe. Abe’s a hottie. Sometimes she annoys me and I annoy her, but when Erin is her coolest, she’s like the f*cking coolest chick to hang out with,” Brynn declared. “Sometimes it makes me think, I wish she [weren’t] married and didn’t have kids. If Erin weren’t married or have kids, she’d be me … We do go out together now, and she’ll go hard, but she’s just cool, [and] she’s smart.”

As she remains in New York City, Brynn’s cost of living is high.

“It was $14,000, but I negotiated them down to $12,000,” she explained of the rent for her apartment, noting that she also spends a lot on clothing.

“It’s like a lot … $20,000 is too much, we go a little down. A dress is $2,000. My shoes are $2,000,” she revealed.

Moving on to her friendship with the daughter of Lisa Vanderpump, 64, Brynn revealed that Pandora’s husband, Jason Sabo, was a friend of hers from Indiana, as she noted that the two of them worked their way up in the restaurant industry.

“My best friend, Pandora Vanderpump .. the thing that I love about Pandy and her husband Jason, who’s my friend from Indiana is, they own the restaurants … and they help run them now, and it’s only because Lisa made them start as the bar people and bussing tables, and then they got to be servers,” she shared.

Brynn then disclosed that producers wanted her on the cast of Pump Rules.

“When they asked me to be on [Pump Rules], [Pandora and Jason] were servers at Villa Blanca… Then they got to be head of staff, then they got to be the manager of the restaurant. You have to have someone that’s worked the whole gamut,” she explained.

While Brynn would want to trade places with Erin, she said she’d prefer to do business with Jenna Lyons, 56, out of all her castmates.

“She’s a fabulous business partner … She’s a proper businesswoman who’s had the experience … She worked her way up through it … Jenna’s very smart,” she noted.

Then, after revealing her credit score was a 710 after “a 40-point dip,” she explained why she prefers to date rich guys.

“Safety, because I equate money with being able to keep me safe,” Brynn stated.

Throughout the years, Brynn has been engaged “a few times” and blamed herself for those relationships coming to an end.

“I trusted them and they all had money … it was me. I just wasn’t ready,” she confessed. “They were great guys .. I was creating problems … I would get weirded out by small [issues]. I’m like, ‘I’m done.’ And I would just leave … I just always was, like, running.”

That said, Brynn insisted she never cheated.

“I would never cheat. I hate cheaters,” she proclaimed. “I have two cardinal sins: Don’t lie to my face and don’t waste my time.“
