Blake Lively Confident Taylor Swift Rift Would End

Baldoni filed a complaint against Lively, claiming that Lively referred to Swift as one of her “dragons” in a text message she allegedly sent to him.

Recent reports have also revealed that Swift could be one of the individuals subpoenaed in Lively and Baldoni’s legal dispute, which could further complicate the women’s relationship.

As Lively’s legal battle with Baldoni continually makes headlines with any new development, the status of her relationship with Swift is another matter that fans are concerned about.

However, fans who want the women to remain good friends might have nothing to worry about if the words of an insider hold water.

A source told PEOPLE Magazine that Lively is confident she and Swift would resolve their issues.

They shared, “Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn’t done for good.”

The insider also disclosed that “Taylor was really hurt by this situation,” adding that the pop diva is “relieved” that she and Lively “were able to recover from this and put it all behind them because it wasn’t something she took lightly.”

The source’s disclosure follows recent reports that Swift and actor Hugh Jackman, a close pal of Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, could be served subpoenas.

On Tuesday, an insider told the Daily Mail that Swift and Jackman would “most definitely be served this week” amid Lively and Baldoni’s intensifying legal battle.

The source added, “It could happen at any time,” and noted that Lively and Swift haven’t seen each other since the lawsuit drama began.

In January, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist, alleging defamation and extortion.

In the 179-page complaint, Baldoni claimed that Swift and Reynolds pressured him into accepting a rewritten version of a pivotal rooftop scene originally scripted by Christy Hall.

During pre-production, Lively reportedly requested to “take a pass” at rewriting the scene where her character, Lily Bloom, first meets Baldoni’s Ryle Kincaid.

Although Baldoni was “reluctant,” he agreed to review her version.

He later described it as “dramatically” different from the original and said Lively went silent after his “exceedingly mild resistance.”

According to the lawsuit, Baldoni was “summoned” to a meeting at Reynolds and Lively’s New York penthouse where Swift was present.

“Taylor began praising Lively’s script,” the complaint stated, adding that Baldoni “understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Lively’s direction.”

In a text to Lively, Baldoni said her rewrite was “so much more fun and interesting,” but noted, “I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor,” followed by a playful emoji.

Lively allegedly responded by comparing herself to the “Game of Thrones” character, Khaleesi, and referred to Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons.”

“They are embarrassingly effusive,” she reportedly wrote. “I think they wanted you and me to see how they felt about [the rewrites]… you will too, I can promise you.”

Insiders had previously revealed that Swift was unhappy about being caught in the crossfire of Lively’s legal dispute with Baldoni.

The Blast reported that sources close to the singer claim she was blindsided after being named in Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit, which followed Lively’s sexual harassment allegations.

While Swift’s music was featured in the film, insiders insist her role in its development was minimal.

What seemed to have upset Swift most was Lively allegedly referring to her as one of her “dragons” in text messages aimed at swaying Baldoni on a script rewrite. “It’s weird to say that about a friend,” one source told TMZ.

Reports also claim Swift felt ambushed during a visit to Lively’s apartment, unaware Baldoni would be present.

While Swift remains close to Lively publicly, insiders said she was frustrated by her name being “inappropriately leveraged” in the legal drama and the ensuing media narrative.
