Shannon Sharpe’s Ex-Girlfriend Breaks Her Silence On Explosive Lawsuit
In an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, Shannon Sharpe’s ex-girlfriend Michele Bundy Evans is breaking her silence—and she’s not holding back. The 53-year-old opened up about her long and rocky relationship with the former NFL star, detailing the traumatic experiences that led to a 2023 sexual assault lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court.

Evans revealed the two first crossed paths back in 2002. At the time, she was a local sports reporter, and he was already a household name with the Denver Broncos.
“We met in the press room at the Broncos, in April of 2002, but we didn’t start dating until we met at the club Blue 67 in Denver,” she explained during an interview recorded in her New York City apartment earlier this week.
From that second meeting on, Evans said Sharpe made his interest known—loud and clear.
“He started pursuing me pretty heavily,” she recalled.
Even though she tried to keep things professional, his charm eventually wore her down.
“I resisted for a while because I was a reporter and I didn’t want to mix the two, but he’s very charming.”
From Romance To Regret: The Timeline Of Their Tumultuous Relationship
Evans said they were involved for several years, describing it as a mostly “open relationship,” but things turned toxic around 2010. That’s when she says the emotional manipulation became unbearable.
She was dating someone else who would later become her husband. But Sharpe, she claimed, still wanted her to cut that off—despite allegedly entertaining other women on the side.
“We had an argument about the fact that he had removed one girl from his [Atlanta] house and put another girl in his house and he didn’t tell me,” she said.
“He had asked me to break up with my husband at the time. I was dating Shannon and my husband at the same time.”
“It’s like, wait a minute, you want me to be with just you, but you want to move somebody into your house and not even tell me? So that’s what [the argument] stemmed from.”Evans made it clear she wasn’t about to play that one-sided loyalty game.
“He’s not a faithful person. So I wasn’t going to be faithful to a non-faithful person. It just doesn’t work that way, not for me, anyway.”
Inside The 2023 Lawsuit Against Shannon Sharpe
On December 20, 2023, Michele Evans officially filed a lawsuit in New York Supreme Court. The filing outlines an alleged incident she calls the “biggest argument that we ever got in.”
In the legal documents, Evans accuses Sharpe of becoming physically aggressive after trying to initiate sex—which she refused. She describes him as controlling and domineering during that moment.
“He was controlling. He was domineering. He was manhandling me, and he wanted to have sex, and I told him no,” Evans stated.
It is worth noting that Shannon Sharpe has denied all the allegations against him.
