Taylor Swift Fans Wonder If She Is Doing Enough To Support Travis Kelce

Singer Taylor Swift has been involved with NFL star Travis Kelce for over a year now, which has created more opportunities for him outside of football.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had a hosting gig in “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?” and even acted in “Grotesquerie.” Ahead of his appearance in “Happy Gilmore 2,” one fan is wondering if the “Love Story” singer is doing enough to support his projects off the field.

One fan took to Reddit to speculate about the state of their relationship, noting that Swift is quick to cheer for her friends’ projects, but has done little to promote Kelce’s screentime. They also noted that Kelce is quick to answer questions about her in interviews and talk about her on his New Heights podcast, while Swift doesn’t seem to mention him at all.

“Taylor has made a post/comment on her IG about Conversation With Friends, Deadpool & Wolverine, Blink Twice, Selena’s engagement, and Selena’s album, but nothing for Grotesquerie or Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity,” the user noted.

“She has liked posts about Kelce’s NFL accomplishments, which is the bare minimum, but never left a comment. I’m sure Taylor has people on her team reading posts on places like this sub, so maybe in July she’ll promote Happy Gilmore 2 just to prove this post wrong,” they added.

“They’ve been together for almost two years, and I think she’s publicly mentioned him maybe once or twice, yet he’s gone around on podcasts and interviews talking about her all the time, and he’s expected to shout his love from the rooftops,” the user continued.

“Remember how she was with Calvin and Tom? How was she willing to go with Joe to award shows? How she mouthed ‘I love you’ to Matty after 5 days of dating?” they asked, referring to her exes Calvin Harris, Tom Hiddleston, Joe Alwyn, and Matty Healy.

“Recently, she stood him up at Mahomes’ charity event, which she attended before. Is she too busy hiding for Rep TV?” they asked, referring to the charity event hosted by Kelce’s teammate, Patrick Mahomes.

“This isn’t an equal partnership,” they concluded. “Travis fumbled Kayla Nicole. That girl was ride or die for him. She would post about that man all the time. It’s not about fame and fortune, it’s about having a loving, supportive partner who will put into a relationship what you put in, no less.”

Some users were not surprised by Swift’s lack of attention to Kelce’s career outside of football. “Bro, duh it’s a PR relationship,” one user wrote.

“Yes, it’s true, but she doesn’t even make one percent of the effort for ‘the relationship. It’s so fake,” another netizen commented.

“That’s why I think it’s NOT PR,” another user chimed in. “PR would be more organized and consistent. With better baked goods.”

One user had a lengthy reply to the idea that it was nothing but a PR relationship. “I know the most popular theory is that their relationship is PR, but the thing is she’s abused and been obnoxious with PR for years,” the user wrote. “She knows her way around it and how to manipulate the public and her fanbase.”

“While I don’t believe she actually loves him, I do believe it’s actually a real relationship between them… on his end. Does he love her? I don’t know, but I do think his ego loves the thought and excitement of them being together.”

“Her lack of engagement with his accomplishments and social media does nothing to boost it if it is a PR relationship. If anything, that could cause bad reactions,” they continued. “I do, however, feel like she probably enjoys how obnoxiously vocal he is about their relationship, though, since she likes that immature, childish stuff, and we know her previous partners were a bit more lowkey.”

“But regardless, I think we all know those types of couples where they think they’re in love but they really are just more so addicted to the high they get when together and what each person brings to the relationship,” they concluded.

“Travis’s illustrious Hollywood career so far includes a game show on Amazon Prime, a part in a dying TV franchise, and a bit part in an Adam Sandler sequel,” the user quipped. “Taylor isn’t gonna go around singing ‘that’s my man’ for that crap. She doesn’t want to put her stamp of approval on stinkers, even if that means not supporting her alleged BF.”
