Joe Exotic Blasts Trump For Leaving Him Behind While Freeing the Chrisleys
Tiger King star Joe Exotic is not holding back his feelings after news broke that President Donald Trump granted a pardon to Todd and Julie Chrisley—but not him.
Just hours after the shocking announcement, Joe Exotic hopped on social media to vent. On X, he posted:
“I guess being innocent is not enough in America. They all admitted to perjury on world television but yet I’m left to die of cancer before I can get any help.”
That wasn’t all. Joe continued:
“Why is it the entire world can see the evidence but the White House refuses to acknowledge that they did this to me knowing that they were lying.”

Why Is Joe Exotic Still Locked Up?
Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently in the fifth year of a 21-year federal prison sentence. He’s serving time at FMC Fort Worth in Texas after being convicted in 2020 on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of murder-for-hire for allegedly plotting to kill Carole Baskin.
Even while locked up, Joe has remained vocal. He’s shared that he’s battling prostate cancer and believes he’s being deliberately ignored by the legal system. In his eyes, being famous isn’t enough protection from a system that he claims wants him dead.

According to a report from NBC News, Joe’s legal team has filed numerous appeals, arguing that he was wrongfully convicted and that prosecutorial misconduct tainted the case.
Meanwhile, Trump Pardons Todd and Julie Chrisley
President Donald Trump dropped a bombshell Tuesday when he revealed that he would be granting a full pardon to reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were serving time for federal tax evasion and bank fraud.
Todd Chrisley had been serving a 12-year sentence, while Julie was handed a seven-year sentence. The couple, known for their hit series Chrisley Knows Best, had long maintained their innocence despite the convictions.
Trump broke the news to their children—Savannah and Grayson—over a phone call. “It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump said. “We’ll try getting it done tomorrow, so give them — I don’t know them — but give them my regards and wish them well.”
Grayson responded,
“Mr. President, I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back.”
Savannah added,
“I will forever be grateful for President Trump, his administration and everyone along the way, all of my lawyers, the people who put in countless hours and effort and love for my family to make sure that my parents got home.”
Joe Exotic’s Ongoing Legal Battle & Message to America
Joe Exotic ain’t giving up. Despite his current health crisis and incarceration, he’s continuing to push for a new trial or executive clemency. He maintains that his conviction was politically motivated and that he’s been unfairly targeted.
This isn’t the first time Joe has begged Trump for help. Back in 2021, he even hired a limo to wait outside prison in case Trump granted him clemency during his last days in office. That pardon never came.
But now with the Chrisleys walking free, Joe says the double standards are too loud to ignore.
Conclusion: Joe Exotic Goes Off After Trump Pardons The Chrisleys and Not Him
Joe Exotic is once again begging America to take notice. He’s outraged, sick, and desperate—not just for freedom, but for some sort of fairness. While the Chrisleys enjoy a second chance at life, Joe is left fighting cancer behind bars.
Whether or not Trump will revisit Joe’s case remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure—Joe Exotic ain’t done talking.
