Teddi Mellencamp offered an update on her cancer battle on her and Tamra Judge‘s podcast this week after undergoing an MRI.
As the 43-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, who went public with a new man earlier this month amid her divorce from Edwin Arroyave, 48, admitted to facing backlash over her dating life, Teddi explained why she felt nervous going into the appointment and confirmed that she’s still stage four.
“I had gotten pretty nervous because I started getting headaches again, but the doctors came in and said that the tumors have not grown at all. If anything, they’re shrinking,” Teddi revealed on Two Ts in a Pod.
As RHOBH fans will recall, it was headaches that prompted her to seek medical attention earlier this year, and ultimately led to her brain and lung cancer diagnosis.
“I’m in the one percent range of improvement. But I am still stage four cancer,” Teddi explained.
Then, when Tamra, 58, asked her if there was a sense of relief after the visit, Teddi admitted, “There wasn’t.”
“I think I believe that I’m gonna go in and they’re gonna say, ‘Wow, it’s a miracle and you no longer have any cancer,’” she shared.
During another segment, Teddi revealed that despite her health battle, fans haven’t been easy on her online.
“People have been coming for me about fostering a dog, and they’ve been coming for me for dating. ‘The only thing she should be worried about right now are her kids and staying alive,’” she told listeners, prompting Tamra to tell her haters to “shut the f*ck up.”
“Life doesn’t stop because you have cancer,” Tamra notes.
Following the reveal of her new man, Teddi, who shares Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, with Edwin, opened up about their “private” relationship on Two Ts, sharing that her mystery man was “taking good care” of her.
“I’m dating somebody,” she announced. “He’s very kind to me, he’s taking good care of me. He’s nice … he’s not married, he doesn’t have any kids. But he’s also a private person. I asked him, like, ‘Do I even say your name?’ And he’s, like, ‘It’s really whatever you want to do,’ like, ‘I know you’re a public person.’”
