Florida’s Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey issued a harsh warning on Thursday (June 12) to protestors and rioters ahead of the state’s anti-ICE Immigration protests.

As we’ve reported this past week, things have gotten heavy in Los Angeles County, California amid several ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raids and subsequent protests.
The peaceful protests quickly turned brutal with rioters, causing President Donald Trump to deploy 2,000 National Guard soldiers and 700 Marines.

The deployment even caused continued drama between the President and California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass — who eventually implemented an 8 p.m. curfew in Downtown LA, where the protests and riots largely took place.
In her statement, Mayor Bass cited growing safety concerns and “a need to protect both protesters and property owners” as key reasons for the curfew. Law enforcement officials, including LAPD and National Guard troops already deployed to the city, will enforce the curfew. Furthermore, anyone found in violation may be subject to fines or arrest.

Florida Embeds ‘ICE Liaison’ Anthony Coker And Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivy Threatens Rioters Amid ICE Protests
Following the chaos in Los Angeles, and even in places like New York City, New York and Atlanta, Georgia, Florida, the self-proclaimed “Anti-Riot State” says they’re not putting up with any B.S.! They’ve even become the first state to appoint an “ICE liaison,” identified as Agent Anthony Coker, Florida’s new ICE liaison.
During a Thursday press conference, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey told rioters:
“I’m gonna break it down for you. As you watch these riots unfold across the rest of the country, what you are seeing is buildings being burned down, police cars being bricked, having explosive devices thrown on them, having fire guns pointed at them, bricks being thrown at them. On and on.”
Sheriff Ivey continued to warn rioters:
“If somebody wants to know what I mean by turn violent, I mean if you resist lawful orders, you’re going to jail. Let me be very clear about that. If you block an intersection or a roadway in Brevard County, you are going to jail. If you flee arrest, you’re going to go to jail tired, because we are going to run you down and put you in jail. If you try to mob roll a car in Brevard County, gathering around it and refusing to let the driver leave, in our county you’re most likely going to get run over and dragged across the street.
If you spit on us, you’re going to the hospital and in jail. If you hit one of us, you’re going to the hospital and jail; and most likely bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs that we have here. If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at, because we will kill you, graveyard dead. We’re not going to play. This has got to stop.”
