Tiron Alexander, a 35-year-old Florida man, has been convicted after allegedly posing as a flight attendant and booking over 120 free trips.

How Tiron Alexander Allegedly Posed As A Flight Attendant & Booked Over 120 Free Trips

On Tuesday, June 10, the United States Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Florida shared a press release noting Alexander’s alleged scheme. Per the release, between 2018 and 2024, Alexander booked free flights on an airline’s website, which were only available to pilots and flight attendants. He reportedly flew on 34 flights through the carrier “by posing as a flight attendant who worked for other airlines.” Furthermore, on the website that he used to book the 34 flights, he claimed he worked for seven different airlines. Additionally, he allegedly claimed he had 30 different badge numbers while noting various hire dates.

But that’s not all. Per the release, evidence presented at Alexander’s trial showed that he posed as a flight attendant on three other carrier websites. In total, he allegedly booked more than 120 flights — all for free — by posing as a flight attendant.

More Details On The Florida Man’s Conviction For Posing As A Flight Attendant

Furthermore, the release noted that on Thursday, June 5, a jury convicted the 35-year-old of wire fraud. Additionally, the jury convicted Alexander of “entering into a secure area of an airport by false pretenses.” Per the release, Alexander is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25. Per NBC News, he faces a maximum of 20 years for wire fraud, 10 years for “entering the secure airport areas under false pretenses,” and a $250,000 fine.

Additionally, the outlet notes that Alexander’s indictment asserted that he did work at an airline headquartered in Dallas since 2015. However, he was never a pilot or a flight attendant.

“While Alexander was able to board flights by fraudulently obtaining a boarding pass, he underwent all applicable TSA security procedures, including ID verification and physical screening, and did not pose a threat to other airline passengers. TSA remains dedicated to the security of the flying public and will continue to support the prosecution of those who break air travel laws,” the administration reportedly noted, per the outlet.

Another Florida Man Has Been Sentenced For The Death Of His Ex-Girlfriend’s 2-Year-Old

In addition to Tiron Alexander, another man in Florida has also made headlines. As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, Travis Ray Thompson was sentenced to life in prison. At the time, it was reported that Thompson had been convicted of murder. Furthermore, he was accused of severing the spine of his ex-girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter.
