Todd Chrisley and his family are not done with fighting for prison reform just because he and wife Julie Chrisley were pardoned.
“We stepped out of prison,” Todd, 56, says in Us Weekly’s exclusive preview of the Chrisley family’s upcoming interview on Fox News’ My View With Lara Trump. “We walked into a home, started filming immediately, and new cars were ordered, and we’re looking for houses, and we’re doing all the things that we need to be doing.”
Todd continued: “But all of these men and women don’t get to do that. When they come out, they don’t have a home to go to. They don’t have money to go buy food.”
In the clip, Todd is joined by his wife and two of their children: Savannah, 27, and Grayson, 19. (The couple also share the son Chase and granddaughter Chloe, whom they legally adopted. Todd is also the father of Lindsie and Kyle — who is Chloe’s biological father — whom he welcomed with ex-wife Teresa Terry.)
Julie, for her part, echos similar sentiments to her husband’s perspective.
“They don’t have support,” Julie, 52, says, referring to others who remain behind bars.
Todd then tells Trump, 42, that the percentage of incarcerated individuals in the United States is higher “than anywhere else in the world” yet the United States has “the highest recidivism rate.”
“That should tell you that what we’re doing is not working,” he says. “There is no accountability for the $8.2 billion that’s dumped into the Bureau of Prisons every year.”

Todd then shares a message for people he got to know while serving his sentence.
“Accountability is coming. So, for all of my brothers that I left behind, I didn’t leave you behind,” he says. “I’m coming for you. It’s just taking me a little bit longer to get to you.”
Last month, Todd and Julie received a pardon from President Donald Trump after the couple was convicted of 12 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy in 2022. While they maintained their innocence, Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison while Julie received seven years.
“It’s a terrible thing but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Donald said in a phone call to Savannah, who had been advocating on her parents’ behalf, per a clip shared via X at the time. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”
Following the pardon news, Todd and Julie’s lawyers confirmed to Us that the pair had been officially released from prison and returned home to Nashville. Since returning to civilian life, the Chrisley family has continued to speak out on injustice in the prison system.
“Even though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do,” Todd said at a press conference following his release. “It could be you. It could be any of you.”
Chrisley’s appearance on My View With Lara Trump will air on Fox New Channel Saturday, June 28, at 9 p.m. ET.
