Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Ryan Gosling’s sci-fi adventure film Project Hail Mary. I’ve excited about this movie! It looks like it’s going to take audiences on a film and wild ride at the movies!
The film is about “an astronaut who wakes up to find himself millions of miles away from home, in a tiny craft with two dead crewmates for company and no recollection of his mission or even his name. But this man will soon discover he is humanity’s only hope for survival from an extinction-level threat.”
Gosling said at CinemaCon: “It’s an insanely ambitious story that’s massive in scope, and it seemed really hard to make, and that’s kind of our bag. This is why we go to the movies. And I’m not just saying it because I’m in it. I’m also saying it because I’m a producer on the film.”
The movie is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who have written and directed films like Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and The Lego Movie, and directed the 21 Jump Street films.
Drew Goddard, best known for writing the film The Cabin in the Woods as well as being Oscar-nominated for adapting for the script for the film The Martian, wrote the script.
The movie is an adaptation of Andy Weir’s best-selling novel of the same name, and it hits theaters on March 20th, 2026. The trailer is set to drop tomorrow!
