Ozzy Osbourne’s long-awaited “Back To The Beginning” concert was already destined to be one for the books, a historic final performance by Black Sabbath with their legendary frontman, but no one expected Jason Momoa to steal the show in the most rock ‘n’ roll way possible.

Held at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, the star-studded event marked the first time in 20 years that the original Black Sabbath lineup reunited on stage.

With over 40,000 fans packed into the stadium, including the one and only Jason Momoa, the night roared to life with headbanging classics like “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” and “Paranoid.”

Jason Momoa Sparks Fan Mayhem At Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Show

“It’s so good to be on this f-cking stage, you have no idea,” Ozzy declared as he dramatically rose from under the stage on a winged throne. “Let the madness begin!”

And madness did begin, especially once Momoa, serving as the event’s master of ceremonies, went full metalhead during the festivities.

In a moment that has since gone viral, the “Aquaman” and “Game of Thrones” star shocked fans by leaving the VIP section, climbing over the barricade, and diving headfirst into the crowd during Pantera’s performance of “Cowboys From Hell.”

Not content to just blend in, Momoa ignited a circle pit, thrashing alongside fans and sparking chaos (the good kind) that only added to the energy of the night.

Fans Lose It Over Momoa’s Metal Mayhem

Social media exploded with footage of the actor’s wild move, with fans praising his authenticity and fearless energy.

“Moshing with Jason Momoa was not on my bingo card!” one user exclaimed.

Another wrote, “He is the coolest dude on the planet. Name one other celebrity as big as him who would do this… No one. Helps that he is a monster lol.”

“Looks like he single-handedly started the pit. There wasn’t much movement before he arrived,” a fan observed, while another joked, “Meanwhile, his bodyguard is regretting life’s choices. Lol.”

The comments kept rolling in, with praise like “Legend,” “Dope AF,” and “Jason Momoa is the man. Goes straight to the pit to get busy at the Pantera show. Let’s go!! Love this dude.”

But it was the original Black Sabbath lineup and Osbourne’s triumphant return that gave fans chills.

After a strobing montage of his decades-spanning career, Osbourne took the stage with raw energy and visible emotion, asking the crowd, “Have you had a good day today?” before launching into the chilling organ intro of “Mr. Crowley.”

The show reached an emotional peak with “Mama I’m Coming Home,” during which the metal icon appeared visibly moved, his voice trembling as he stood on the stage where it all began more than 50 years ago.

Ozzy Osbourne Bids Final Farewell

The 76-year-old metal icon has battled through years of health challenges, including multiple spinal surgeries and a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.

On his SiriusXM radio show earlier this year, Osbourne reflected on his journey, saying, “I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”

In confirming that this would truly be his final live performance, Osbourne told The Guardian, “I’d love to say ‘never say never’, but after the last six years or so … it is time. I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family.”

Metal Icons Honor Black Sabbath In Emotional, Full-Circle Tribute At Ozzy’s Final Show

It wasn’t just Ozzy who was feeling it. The entire lineup of heavy metal royalty, including Mastodon, Anthrax, and Lamb of God, honored Black Sabbath’s legacy. Lamb of God brought an early standout moment with a fiery cover of “Children of the Grave” that stirred a massive circle pit on the pitch.

As the sun set, Guns N’ Roses kept the momentum high with a cover of “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” seamlessly launching into their own “Welcome to the Jungle.” But the night’s most heartfelt tribute came from Metallica’s James Hetfield, who looked out across the massive crowd and said, “Without Sabbath, there would be no Metallica. Thank you boys for giving us a purpose in life.”

Moments like that made the sold-out bash feel like more than just a concert. It was a full-circle celebration of metal’s roots, legacy, and future.

And Jason Momoa’s spontaneous pit dive may not have been on the schedule, but it became one of the most talked-about moments of the night.
