Katie Ginella is being called out for allegedly lying about her communication with a blogger on the premiere episode of the 19th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
After being accused of crossing boundaries and doing deceitful and deceptive things behind closed doors by Emily Simpson, 49, the 41-year-old star has seemingly been caught denying a phone call that there is proof of.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Christina Huber, also known as “The Bravo Babe,” stated that Katie “did in fact call me to tell me [Tamra Judge] was evil and if I needed any help or guidance, she was there for me.”
According to Christina, Katie reached out to her amid an online feud with Tamra, 57, which will apparently be addressed on the show.
“Furthermore, she implicated Tamra’s assistant as someone whom she suspected of running the troll accounts,” Christina explained. “I never showed anyone or told anyone that she also tried to bring in someone close to Tamra for drama.”
Prior to the phone call Katie made to her, Christina said the two of them had been in contact for “well over a year.”
“I was in shock and so disappointed that when confronted in the premiere, she lied,” she continued. “Lying in her confessional on national television, knowing the screenshots are there, is bizarre. How disrespectful to the producers as well.”
“She AND her husband [Matt Ginella] called me while sitting next to each other,” Christina added. “In the full episode, at the end, it’s a cliffhanger and she refuses to pull out her phone to show our messages, so here I am to expose them as truth!”
While Katie denied the claims, Christina further insisted that “Katie lies.”
“I’m not gonna let you guys watch the full episode, thinking that she’s telling the truth when she’s so clearly not,” she told her fans and followers in an Instagram video shared on Monday. “Katie Ginella called me after my little feud with Tamra Judge. She consoled me, talked me off a ledge, told me how evil Tamra was but that everything would be okay. So I’m not gonna let anybody backtrack and say that they didn’t call me because they did.”
Looking back at their online interaction, Christina said Katie responded to her after she brought something up to her that Tamra had posted on her Instagram Story, which suggested she was “coming after [her].”
“She immediately called me right after I said that. And before we even talked on the phone, she was implicating Tamra’s assistant, friend, I’m not quite sure, Caden,” Christina recalled, showcasing the screenshot that appeared to prove the messages and two-minute call she received.
Sharing more about their relationship before the RHOC drama, Christina said, “Before Katie lied to the cast and production in the premiere episode, we had such a great rapport, friendly relationship. That’s why it wasn’t so random when she called me about the Tamra situation because we had a little bit of a rapport back and forth with each other.”
“What is hurtful now,” she continued, “is that she’s lying to everybody and I don’t think content creators or bloggers, whatever you call yourselves, deserve for a housewife to lie on them, knowing the platform that they have is so much larger.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 premieres tonight, July 10, at 9/8c on Bravo.
