Who is in the No Other Choice teaser trailer?
The video shows off its powerhouse cast consisting of South Korea’s A-list actors, including Squid Game vet Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin (The Last Princess, Crash Landing to You). They are set to star as husband and wife. Joining them are Park Hee-soon (My Name), Lee Sung-min (The Spy Gone North), Yeom Hye-ran (The Glory), Cha Seung-won (Believer 1&2), and Yoo Yeon-seok (Mr. Sunshine).
No Other Choice is directed and produced by Park Chan-wook, who gained international recognition for his work in acclaimed movies such as The Vengeance trilogy, The Handmaiden, and Decision to Leave. The screenplay is written by Lee Kyoung-mi, Don McKellar, and Jahye Lee, based on the 1997 novel The Ax by Donald Westlake. Producers are Back Jisun, Michèle Ray Gavras, and Alexandre Gavras, with Miky Lee serving as an executive producer.
This marks the latest collaboration between the filmmaker and NEON, following the successful re-release of Oldboy in theaters and a limited deluxe edition 4K UHD Blu-ray to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023. Park’s most recent project was last year’s HBO miniseries The Sympathizer, which earned Robert Downey Jr. an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
