In 1985, SPIN founder Bob Guccione Jr. had an idea to create a new music magazine focused on covering alternative, college rock, hip-hop and different underground music scenes in a younger, more rebellious voice.
Over the past four decades, SPIN hasn’t just been a platform to provide emerging artists with a mainstream audience; it’s been a cultural touchstone, tackling topics such as free speech and censorship. We were, and still very much are, the voice of a new generation.
Now, to celebrate SPIN’s 40th anniversary, SPIN and Airtab Media are bringing together legendary artists for one night only on Dec. 6 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
This concert experience of iconic proportions will feature soon-to-be-announced artists that have graced SPIN covers for the last four decades and will be filmed live for a global concert movie release. At the event, fans will also be treated to special collaborations overseen by a variety of hosts.
It’s SPIN’s small way of thanking the people who’ve helped make the magazine such a success: our readers. Sign up to be the first to receive ticket access, presale info, and breaking lineup news. Now, let’s go celebrate!
