Ozzy Osbourne Left Post Malone ‘Terrified’ + Truly Starstruck

When VELD Music Festival descends on Toronto in less than one week, Downsview Park will transform into a playground for dance music’s elite.

With a lineup that fuses the biggest names in house and the heaviest hitters in bass music, the festival is shaping up to be one of the most explosive weekends of 2025. As the festival’s August 1st kickoff draws near, these five artists on the lineup stand out as must-see acts destined to define the weekend.

Limited tickets to VELD 2025 remain on sale here.

ALLEYCVT

Among electronic music’s fastest-rising stars, ALLEYCVT has built a reputation for fusing emotive alt-pop vocals with guttural dubstep and bass sonics that land with emotional weight. She’s continuing her debut at major festivals across the global circuit with a performance on the Saturday of VELD weekend.

A member of EDM.com’s Class of 2025, ALLEYCVT is rapidly proving herself as a visionary of her own creative universe. The “Supersonic” artist’s set will be a must-see moment for fans eager to witness one of the scene’s most magnetic newcomers in her breakout era.

Rezz

Toronto’s own Rezz has become a hometown hero on the global bass stage, and her recent projects, including ambitious upgrades to her audiovisual shows, have only cemented her status as one of the genre’s most inventive performers.

She’s also gearing up for a major new chapter with her fifth album, As The Pendulum Swings, which spawned a new single, “Glass Veins,” yesterday. When she returns to VELD, fans can expect an immersive dive into her trademark gritty darkness.

Crankdat

Few artists in dubstep embody resilience quite like Crankdat. After flirting with burnout and even the prospect of leaving music behind entirely, the producer explained in an interview with EDM.com how he rebuilt his project by leaning into risk-taking, fan connection, and an irreverent sense of fun.

A viral TikTok presence and the breakout success of 2023’s “STFU” have fully reignited his momentum, culminating in sold-out headline shows and high-profile festival slots at Ultra and EDC Las Vegas in the time since. Crankdat arrives at VELD like an artist newly unshackled, intent on delivering a set as explosive as his comeback story.

Alesso

Alesso has long held his place as a festival staple, crafting productions that fuse sweeping emotion with arena-sized power. His brand-new collaboration with Martin Garrix, “Inside Our Hearts,” is perhaps no better example. The track is finally out after years of anticipation, having first electrified crowds at Ultra Music Festival 2023.

When Alesso takes the stage at VELD, fans can expect a set stacked with equal parts time-tested classics and recent releases destined to become tomorrow’s global dance anthems.

Green Velvet b2b Layton Giordani

Sunday’s bill at VELD offers a rare convergence of techno’s heritage and future. Green Velvet, the genre’s inimitable showman and one of its true architects, will join Layton Giordani, whose meteoric rise has placed him firmly among the most exciting names in electronic music.

Giordani, part of the EDM.com Class of 2025, has earned acclaim for a sound that tempers muscular percussion with spectral melodies. His shared history with Velvet includes a remix of Sharam’s “PATT (Party All The Time),” which dominated the festival circuit in 2024, but a full b2b performance at one of Canada’s most high-profile festivals will mark another step forward in their collaborative saga.
