As mentioned, the beauty entrepreneur gagged her fanbase when she hopped on video to suggest Yandy Smith’s man is creeping with a married woman. Not long after The Shade Room reshared the clip, she provided an exclusive statement to the outlet addressing the messy boots moment.

Sierra Gates Claims She Has Evidence Of Mendeecees Cheating On Yandy Smith
So, let’s get into what Sierra Gates FIRST said! She started her social media video by saying she usually minds the business that pays her, including when she’s seen Mendeecees out with a married woman named Angie. She claimed to have seen the creeping couple in “a few other places” and said she has “pictures too.” Well, it looks like Angie is the reason Sierra chose to break her usual mind-my-business mood. Gates accused the mystery woman of causing drama over her secret infidelity.
“…but tonight you really tried it…like how you gon’ want to be a cheater and be scared that your husband gon’ find out. You just caused so much commotion tonight. Somebody could’ve ended up shot…in jail. It was so much,” Sierra Gates said.
As the video continued, she seemed to explain an incident involving her husband, Xzavia Thomas, and some bodyguards. She also said she has screenshots of Mendeecees acknowledging he and Angie are hiding an affair from her husband. Additionally, she said she told Mendeecees to get out of her face at some point, which seemingly escalated whatever the issue was.
Gates Clears The Air With Statement (UPDATE)
As mentioned, Sierra Gates doubled back to defend her character after airing out her fellow castmates’ relationship. In a four-paragraph statement to The Shade Room, she addressed her “supporters and the public.” Gates shared that she’s spoken to Yandy Smith and shared the details of the incident with Angie. However, she did not take back her cheating allegations or mention Angie again. Also, she did not share Yandy’s reaction to the news.
However, Gates said the incident reminded her why she prefers family, husband, and solo time over attending the “IG parties.” Sierra said that she’s been focused on upcoming ventures but allowed “negativity to win” after someone got under her skin. She said the incident and video do not represent the woman she’s worked to become and that, looking back, she regrets it. “I’m human. I was triggered,” she wrote, adding that she’s protective of people she loves, including her husband and kids.
“People will think and judge how they want, but in a couple of days, none of this will matter. My focus is back on my purpose, my family and the incredible things we’re building.”
Multiple ‘LHHATL’ Stars Have Floated Cheating Rumors About Mendeecees
Currently, The Shade Room has no word on whether Mendeecees is having a romantic affair, especially with a woman named Angie. However, questions have swirled around his relationship with Yandy Smith in the last two years.
In August 2024, they sparked viral reactions after a televised couples’ therapy session showed Mendeecees doubling down on not wearing his wedding ring. Two months later, ‘Love & Hip Hop ATL’ Jasmine Bleu, the mother of Kirk Frost’s love affair child, accused Mendeecees of cheating. The confrontation happened in front of Yandy, with Jasmine claiming he had visited her strip club workplace with another woman. He denied her accusations during the episode.
Several days after the episode aired, he went viral for posting a curvy woman flexing her gains in public on his Snapchat. Yandy stepped in and claimed the post was a way for them to make extra cash. “Cuz that’s how we pay our mortgage and car notes. Snap pays well. Please go look at his snap 32 more times. Lol ain’t that right,” she wrote as a reply to another IG user.
Then, Yandy and Mendeecees went viral in March due to televised confusion about whether he had DM’ed another woman. Spoiler alert: Yandy claimed on national TV that she was DM’ing the woman from his account. Then, their son jokingly claimed it was HIM who did it, which made the whole ordeal an even bigger internet joke.
Rasheeda and Kirk Frost have also made allegations about Yandy and her relationship. For example, they both said that Smith is not legally married to Mendeecees in April of this year.
“If y’all got an open relationship, just say it. Instead of us thinking you cheating, cause he’s really not cheating if it’s not what we think. I’m not disrepecting Mendeecees cause I f**k with him. No I really do. If it’s something different, just say that,” Kirk Frost said at the time, doubling down that “it’s something” Yandy and Mendeecees “aren’t telling the world.”
