Remember Tamra‘s unhinged Instagram Story where she seemingly quit the show? Yep, that happens on *this* episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. While the OC ladies tear up NOLA, the lies and rumors continue to swirl. No one knows who to believe anymore, but when Tamra finds herself backed into a corner (after maybe having too much to drink?), the changed woman she claims to be is back to her usual antics…
Gina has decided to separate the women for the day of fun, sticking Emily with the troublemakers, aka Tamra, Shannon, and Katie… except Shannon refuses to be around Katie because of what she did. Interesting that Shannon coexisted with Alexis last season, but she finds Katie SO off-putting that Katie must meet the other group of girls.
Over some beignets, Gretchen shares that she is optimistic about reconciling with Tamra, but time will tell. They are surprised to have Katie join them and learn that it is because Shannon said she felt “unsafe” around Katie. Did Shannon really say that, though?
In the meantime, Tamra is forced to revisit the last place she was with Teddi weeks before her brain tumor diagnosis. She is trying her best to power through, and without Katie involved in their conversation, she is able to open up a little bit more.
Emily lets Shannon know that Jenn claims Shannon said, “don’t roll on me,” hinting that allegiances are forming. Shannon denies this, and the topic switches to her relationship with Tamra. Tamra claims that alcohol is not good for her (makes her nasty), and she wants to have important conversations with people without booze in her.
Tamra wonders if Shannon can let go of the ugliness from last season, but Shannon is not sure about the authenticity of Tamra’s apology.
In the other group, Jenn talks about the fatty photo situation — thanks, Tamra. She plans on addressing this with Tamra in hopes of making her change her nasty ways.
Both groups meet up at the Barkus Parade, which brings awareness to adopting and fostering dogs. All participate in the excitement, even Gina, who has designer dogs; however, once the ladies arrive at the voodoo queen’s house, all do NOT participate. Gretchen, Tamra, and Shannon leave the premises because they do not want to be “observer participants” while their friends create their own voodoo dolls.
This is quite the trio, but Emily explains to the ladies that Tamra and Shannon basically made up earlier in the day. Shannon is still fuming over the Katie of it all, and Tamra uses this moment to expose yet another (we think) lie of Katie’s.
Tamra explains that she was warned about Katie having lunch with a blogger and then found out that Katie said something horrible about her. According to Tamra, Katie said that Gretchen told her that Tamra roofied her 17 years ago during the infamous naked wasted episode.
Gretchen is appalled; however, she does realize that Tamra is an unreliable source. Evidently, Tamra was told this by TWO people, and she has held onto this information for about four weeks. Tamra admits to Gretchen that she wants to apologize for her past behaviors because things are different now. Gretchen gets emotional, unsure who she can trust.
While getting ready for dinner, Jenn promises that she is going to ask Tamra about the story behind the fatty photo. Now that Tamra has befriended Shannon once again, she runs to her, claiming to be nervous to bring up the roofie rumor. Oh, and Tamra has a drink with her.
Tough issues seem to be the theme. When Jenn pops in to chat with Gretchen, it is clear that Gretchen is upset. She tells Jenn the roofie story, allegedly concocted by Katie, and when Katie comes into the room, too, it all falls into place.
Gretchen immediately believes Katie when she says she had nothing to do with the rumor, and now it all makes sense: why Tamra would hint that something bad was said, and why Heather would ask about bloggers.
Gretchen, Katie, and Jenn straggle into dinner late because of what they were discussing. The mood changes instantly, and Tamra immediately pulls Gretchen aside to see how she wants Tamra to handle the rumor.
Gretchen lets Tamra know she believes Katie is innocent, which absolutely blows Tamra’s mind. When a furious Katie joins Tamra and Gretchen, Tamra claims that “someone who does not want to be named” is responsible for the rumor. Riiiight.
A shocked Tamra feels “blindsided by Gretchen” because earlier Gretchen was SO mad at Katie. When Katie returns to the table, Shannon unleashes on her, pointing out that she has hurt every single person at the table and shrieks that she cannot stand Katie.
Since everything has already gone to hell, Jenn decides NOW would be the best time to confront Tamra about the fatty photo. Only now it becomes clear that Tamra is not in her right mind. Her eyes are closed, and she is speaking incoherently, saying things like she doesn’t care about Jenn’s picture.
After Tamra speaks fresh to a few at the table, Gina lets Tamra know she is being rude and that she is “sloshed.” Jenn realizes it is best to table the conversation since Tamra is not in her right mind, which is interesting considering Tamra told Shannon not five hours ago that they would not see her wasted again… and yet, here we are.
Tamra leaves the table, cries that she wants to go home, and flips out on Heather when she goes to check on her. Tamra no longer feels like there is a place for her on the show after the way things went down. So, let me get this straight. Tamra’s stories didn’t quite land, so she threw a fit, stormed off, and quit the show??
In a text, she tells Gina to “f*ck off” and tells Heather, “I’m out. Gina crossed the line.” But once Tamra posts, “It was a long run. When life gives you real problems, this reality sh*t doesn’t make sense. Peace out, I’m out” on her Instagram Story, it really makes you wonder… did Tamra use those same “roofies” from the infamous naked wasted night on herself??
