The arrival of Labor Day will not only bring a much-needed day off of work and school for many of us, this year it also marks the start of September. Monday brings around the first day of September, which means that major streaming services like Prime Video are going to be delivering some big changes to their lineups. A new month means new titles coming to the Prime Video lineup, beginning with a couple dozen movies and a beloved TV series arriving on Monday morning.
The biggest title hitting Prime Video on Monday is the acclaimed Friday Night Lights series starring Kyle Chandler. The iconic teen drama has done nothing but grow its dedicated fan base in the years since it aired, and now it has a chance to make even more fans with the assistance of Prime Video. All five seasons of Friday Night Lights are hitting Prime on Monday, allowing subscribers to watch through the entire series. Friday Night Lights had been missing from all major streaming services for quite a while, making this a huge return for TV fans.
This week will also be a big one for movies on Prime Video, with four of the week’s seven days bringing new additions. Dozens of movies will arrive on the service Monday morning, including Crimson Peak, Rain Man, Children of Men, Burn After Reading, and the first four titles in the Jason Bourne franchise.
If you’re looking for new releases, there are two films from 2025 arriving later in the week. Wednesday will bring the Jason Statham action hit A Working Man to Prime Video’s lineup, while Steven Soderbergh’s thriller Black Bag is joining the lineup on Friday.
