Meredith Marks recently spoke out about the “crazy” sixth season that is to come on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
As Lisa Barlow, 50, and Britani Bateman, 54, also weighed in, Meredith, 53, described the new episodes as “crazy” and “rocky” as she mentioned the lies discussed in the trailer, looked back on filming Next Gen NYC season one with son Brooks Marks, 26, and seemingly hinted at drama with Whitney Rose, 38.
“It’s crazy,” Meredith admitted of season six to The Daily Dish earlier this month. “It was a little rocky for me. I mean, when you reflect back, it’s kind of like everybody goes and gangs up on Lisa, or they gang up on me. It’s pretty much one or the other, most seasons, or both of us.”
According to Merdith, she found it “frustrating” that people were “spreading a lot of lies about [her].”
“I don’t do it to other people, I don’t spread lies,” she noted. “I don’t get it, but I don’t control anyone but myself.”
As Bravo released the trailer for season six weeks ago, it was revealed that Meredith’s husband, Seth Marks, and his career would be spotlighted, along with her “increasingly uncertain” standing within the cast.
“Resident queen of diamonds and pearls, Meredith Marks wants to transform her Park City store into a caviar lounge. She enlists the help of her husband, Seth, as an official advisor, but his assistance turns out to be more of a headache than she bargained for,” the network shared.
Moving on to Next Gen NYC, Meredith described the show as “so raw and emotional.”
“[It] just kind of showed how close we are,” she explained. “I mean, the Housewives could learn a lot from the kids, like the way they handle conflict and resolution is certainly more mature than how we do, so it was like a proud mama moment to watch them at home.”
During another interview with Us Weekly, Meredith again admitted that season six was “a little tough.”
“It was a lot more lies, people trying to stir up trouble for me for no reason, and it’s not like I haven’t talked about my life. It’s not like I’m hiding things. There’s nothing to delve into, but they seem to want to create things to delve into,” she revealed.
Then, when asked who she trusted the least, Meredith hinted at Whitney and someone else as she replied, “S***ney duo.” And, when asked who she trusted the most, Meredith named Lisa.
Echoing Meredith’s comments about untruths, Lisa teased, “There’s lies and a lot of turning nothings into somethings to create problems … Attention and jealousy,” and described the season by saying it was “unique, complicated and disruptive.”
Also during the interview, Britani suggested there would be plenty of surprises on the new season.
“Expect the unexpected,” she told Us, “because honestly, we found ourselves in situations that I wouldn’t have dreamed in a fever dream.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six premieres on Tuesday, September 16, at 8/7c on Bravo.
