Ellen DeGeneres And Her Brother, Vance, Look Like ‘Twins’ In Rare Photo

Ellen DeGeneres took to her Instagram account to share a rare photo of herself and her brother, Vance DeGeneres, as she paid tribute to him on his birthday.

In the photo, the siblings left fans stunned due to their striking resemblance and their newly matched hair color.

Ellen DeGeneres’ brother, Vance, was one of her most vocal defenders when she came under scrutiny for fostering a toxic work environment as well as bullying claims, saying it was “all bullsh-t.”

The former “Ellen DeGeneres Talkshow” host took to her Instagram account to share a rare picture with the 71-year-old movie producer, and they both looked more alike than ever because, for the first time in a long time, they both had the same hair color.

Ellen was popularly known for her blonde hair, but she ditched the look after moving to the UK with her wife, Portia de Rossi. Her brother, on the other hand, has always had dark brown hair.

“Happy birthday to you, my funny smart talented brother. I love you. @vancenotvance,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

In the comments, fans jokingly commented that they couldn’t tell Ellen and her brother apart due to their resemblance, especially with the comedian’s new hair color.

One person wrote, “You look so much alike! Happy Birthday!”

Another fan commented, “Both of you look alike,” before adding, “Happy Birthday to Vance and Many More Happy Returns.”

Others praised Ellen for “aging with grace,” implying she hasn’t gone under the knife to look younger than her age.

“It’s called aging confidently and not feeling obligated to continue the hair and makeup routine required for television. Trust me, NO ONE you watch on TV looks the same at home as they do on TV. Why pick on her for being self-confident enough to be photographed as she is?” one fan stated.

Although Ellen is more famous for her decade-long comedy career and renowned TV show, Vance has also made his mark in the entertainment industry and previously served as a writer on her show “Ellen” between 1996 and 1997.

He was also a producer and writer for films like “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” and “Bull Durham.”

Fans may not have heard much from him, but he was very vocal in defending his sister when she faced investigation over allegations of racism, bullying, and fostering a toxic workplace environment on her hit talk show.

He said the whole incident was “all bullsh-t” and that Ellen was being “viciously attacked.”

“If you think Ellen would knowingly allow bullying or racism on her show, you don’t know my sister,” he wrote on X at the time, per the Daily Mail.

“She has been and continues to be a bright light in a dark world. She’s one of the kindest, most generous people you’ll ever meet. And one of the funniest,” he added.

At the time of the Ellen scandal, Vance seemed annoyed that he didn’t receive the kind of support he had hoped his online friends would show him when he spoke out to defend his sister.

“Ok, I need to say something. My sister is being viciously attacked. And let me assure you – it is all bullsh-t,” Vance wrote in a Facebook post at the time.

He continued, “I put up a simple statement yesterday that said ‘I stand by Ellen.’ Only a handful of my Facebook’ friends’ responded to it. If you don’t support Ellen, then you don’t support me, so please unfriend me.”

Vance added, “I’m sick and tired of my sister being attacked. She always has – and always will – stand against bullying of any kind. She’s a smart, strong woman who has made a positive difference in the world. And to my friends who did respond with support for Ellen and my family, thank you so much. It means a lot.”

Meanwhile, Ellen recently came under renewed scrutiny as an ex-employee made fresh allegations about her actions on her talk show.

According to the Daily Mail, a former cameraman alleged that Ellen treated staff harshly and was inconsiderate with a high-ranking producer whose child had a major surgery during the busy Christmas season.

The source claimed Ellen had the producer reschedule their child’s surgery to accommodate her own work schedule.

“They were there on the day of the taping that week – Ellen got exactly what she wanted. It was all loyalty to the show, but no loyalty to staff,” the source noted.

Other claims include allegations that she’s a different person from who she portrayed herself to be, and “really didn’t like guys” as she “burned through nine stage managers” in just one season.

The source also alleged that Ellen didn’t like it when staff chatted with her wife, de Rossi, and would lose her cool “if they were ever caught in conversation” with the actress.
