Wednesday season 2 ended on a deadly note with ramifications that affected several characters — and couples.
Warning: This story contains spoilers about season 2 of Wednesday.
The second part of the season, which premiered on Wednesday, September 3, picked up with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) still trying to solve the newest murders taking place at Nevermore while trying to connect it to her family history.
Wednesday’s twisted but undeniable connection to Tyler (Hunter Doohan) kept them in each other’s orbit as they nearly killed each other — but saved each other at the last second. Tyler spent most of the season focused on his own family issues before coming out the other end still without a master.
Before the show returned, Doohan spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about what he wanted to see for his character moving forward.
“First of all, I just want to be in Wednesday,” he shared in August. “But I would do anything that Alfred, Miles or Tim [Burton] are involved in any day.”
Luckily, Wednesday has already been renewed for season 3. Showrunner Alfred Gough and Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria released a statement in July confirming that there is also a Wednesday spinoff in the works.
“It’s something we’re definitely noodling. There are other characters we can look at,” Gough teased before Bajaria added, “There’s a lot to explore in the Addams Family.”

Wednesday Addams

Thanks to Wednesday, good and evil was restored at Nevermore. Despite a couple of deaths from new characters, everyone else was safe and sound as she left the school on her uncle’s bike. But the last scene of the season hinted that her family history has yet to be properly uncovered — especially when it comes to her aunt.
Enid Sinclair

In addition to working with Wednesday to take down this season’s Big Bad characters, Enid figured out her complicated love triangle by choosing herself instead of a guy. She also learned more about her skills as a werewolf and how she could be an alpha in the making.
Tyler Galpin

After escaping from Willow Hall, Tyler ultimately found his mother, who was meant to be dead but actually wasn’t. Their reunion was short-lived because then his uncle, a.k.a Slurp in human form, entered the picture and the vibes between him and Tyler’s mom were nothing short of codependent.
Tyler got caught up in their evil plans, which allowed him to cross paths with Wednesday a few times. But by the end of the season, Wednesday was the one saving Tyler’s life as he turned back into a Hyde and fought with his mother — to her death. The final scene was of Tyler teaming up with Isadora (Billie Piper), who claimed her father was a Hyde and as a result, she wanted to create a support group for those in similar situations as him.

After spending the entire season blackmailed by Professor Dort (Steve Buscemi) — who originated the cult her mother got caught up in — Bianca was able to break free of his hold thanks to a budding possible romance with Ajax.
Morticia Addams, Gomez Addams and Pugsley Addams

The second half of the season allowed the Addams family to help Wednesday more. Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), specifically, found himself kidnapped and nearly dead because of his allegiance to Slurp. By the end of the season, Pugsley made a friend or two and was off to the Addams residence to decompress before his next year at Nevermore.
