Penn Badgley surprised fans with a personal update when he revealed he and his wife, Domino Kirke, recently welcomed twin boys. The actor shared the news in a subtle social media post while promoting an upcoming project, giving followers a brief glimpse of his newborns.
Here’s what we know about the announcement, the couple’s growing family, and how Badgley introduced the twins online.
Penn Badgley and his wife, Domino Kirke, have welcomed identical twin boys. The You actor, 38, announced the news on Instagram on September 3, 2025, while promoting an upcoming Podcrushed live event. In his post, he wrote, “Interrupting twin paternity leave to announce a live event @podcrushed at @symphonyspace Oct 14 NYC supporting the release of our book CRUSHMORE.”
The video featured Badgley whispering about the event while briefly panning to show the tiny feet of one of his newborns. He added, “There’s tiny little baby feet right there. I don’t want to wake them up.” The twins join the couple’s 5-year-old son and Kirke’s 16-year-old son, Cassius, from a previous relationship.
Earlier this year, Badgley revealed that he and Kirke were expecting twins. At the premiere of the final season of Netflix’s You, he said, “They’re identical boys, so now we have four boys. The world needs more good men, so you know, pressure’s on us to raise them well.” He also reflected on fatherhood, calling patience his “dad superpower.”
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in May, Badgley admitted he was still processing the idea of having twins. “I mean, it’s thrilling… as an only child, that’s touching to see them together,” he said. He described one sonogram where the twins appeared to face each other, comparing it to “a hot tub.” He added, “I cannot fathom what it would be like to have somebody with you in there. And, I’m going to be parenting them? I’m going to have to raise them.”
Domino Kirke, 41, had shared glimpses of her pregnancy on social media before the birth, including a photo of her baby bump with a peace sign emoji. The new arrivals expand their blended family to six members.
